This reminded me of 199 Heroes. A decent crossover in spite of one of the teams.
Random thoughts: That final battle was strange. They used up the mecha kind of early and it took some of the wind out of the ending. Akira steals every scene he's in as he does. Even when Daigo is there Akira still steals the scene. That is the awesome of Akira. Daigo's new haircut shows off how huge his ears are. I think he might be a Goseiger in disguise. The kid Sentai was fun and cute. Trains apparently equal kid heroes in the movies (see also Den-O). Nero is finally useful for something...and the other shadows don't care. Speaking of Shadows, Dining Rooms Bros are back! Hurray! A good deal of the better designed Shadow monsters show up along with them. The Kyoryugers have very little to do in this movie and the movie is better for it. They only dance once (And they STILL can't dance in sync. Ugh!) and aside from the toy music, all the music is handled in ToQger's style (which is so much better). Other returning characters are cameos at best. Again, I consider all these positives. The Ninningers are now the badly paced Sentai. They showed up and suddenly the pacing was thrown off. I had to double back because I thought I missed something when they appeared. So this takes place before episode 39 of ToQger (Noir is alive, Zed is in his middle form and characters are acting like they did before that arc) and after Ninninger episode 2 (they have the elemental shuriken thingie). Okay, I like overlapping continuity. Neat. The only oddity here is the ToQgers didn't remember the Kyoryugers from the last movie they were in together. However, I don't think they directly interacted in that, so it's only a minor hiccup. All in all, decent. I found things to enjoy and I don't hate myself for watching it afterwards. |

The last movie they were in together was Kamen Rider Taisen, and Gabutyra turned into a train and replaced Red Reshha as ToQOh's head. You'd think the ToQGers or Daigo would remember that. But that probably doesn't count because it was a Rider movie.

I personally debate the canon of that in regards to this film, but even in that the ToQgers didn't directly meet Daigo face to face if I remember rightly. That doesn't explain them not knowing what a Kyoryuger is, but it does explain them not recognising them.

So yeah. I liked it. Just like his role in 100 years after I didn't recognize king with short hair. Doesn't much look like him
Also did anyone notice that young toq5 is the same exact height in suit as Kyoryu pink? I find that rather funny. |
