Is that even legal?
I mean, it's Hasbro that has the Power Rangers rights now... |

Yes, because they go out of their way to distance it from power rangers -just- enough to be considered different. This isn't a power ranger; this is the """white dragon""". Think mighty no. 9
Like mighty no. 9 though everything about this looks bad. It's everything I dislike about big "adult" movies of franchises feeling the need to go overly serious and gritty rather than embracing the silliness and fun of the series while still telling a good story. Hard, hard pass. |

It took them 4 years to properly begin filming on The Order, and now there's another one? Granted this might be made by different people but still.
Also I love Johnny Yong Bosch and Jason Faunt, and probably Ciara Hanna, but knowing this movie will be another JDF worship I'm not interested at all. Oh and Yoshi Sudarso is overrated af, sue me.

Bat in the Sun has plenty of experience and good turn-around times. They even did a miniseries based in the Valiant comics universe, besides all the youtube videos with tons of fighting and action. That particular criticism does not apply here, I don't think.

Recall that Bat In The Sun did a Street Fighters promo video to help push nWAY's "Legacy Wars" mobile game with Ryu showcasing the first onscreen appearance of his new Ranger Form...and the game, a licensed release, boldly incorporated links to the crossover video! This suggests that Saban knew of and actively condoned the crossover as it would be improper for nWAY to violate their agreement with Saban by promoting anything in the way of a "Fan-Made" creation... and since Ryu-Ranger is still a part of the game (though no longer unlockable if don't already have him), then nWAY, Bat, and Saban made the decision to like each other... and since this is still a transitional year, it's unlikely to expect major changes from Hasbro just yet! |

For the foreseeable future, Hasbro may maintain some of the agreements Saban Brands made with outside entities.

https://comicbook.com/powerrangers/2...chise-intervi/ I have also wondered if the over-simplified angle is also for parental benefit. A self-contained story helps a parent understand what they let their children watch. I know those who find it easier to follow an episodic series rather than a serialized one. That and Nick's awkward scheduling practices. I do believe Hasbro will make large and phenomenal changes, but they also have to hedge their bets (Saban made a lot off the deal with Hasbro). If Hasbro doesn't take it slowly, then they could unnerve and alienate fans with rash and thoughtless decisions. They need time to get into the, for lack of a better phrase, Groove of the Morphing Grid! |

It's mostly because it's still the same writers and creative teams that were there in the Neo-Saban era. The fact that Hasbro now owns them doesn't mean a lot unless they have specific demands.

Well, I'm sorry, but I don't like Power Rangers that much after Time Force....and I tried and tried. But nope, I don't like it.
I like it when veterans come back but uh...I don't know, I find Power Rangers to be childish. I don't know...I found the first Power Rangers to be a bit more serious but that might be my nostalgia goggles.... |
