Thanks for this thread. I have started watching this show and am up to Episode 10. I am enjoying it quite a bit so far, especially the way it plays with familiar patterns while doing some different things with them, like not actually having any monsters in the normal sense.
I am finding it odd watching this after so many Japanese Tokus though since I expect to be able to understand some of the common words and phrases but since it's in Korean I mostly don't. Although I occasionally catch a word which is similar in both languages. Anyway, cool find. |

Just finished it. You weren't kidding.
That's got to be one of the best things I've ever watched. Aside from a few minor special effect failures, and some translation errors, it was pretty spectacular. Even seemingly minor stuff set up at the beginning of the show had a payoff at the end, and the conclusion was one of the most satisfying I have every watched. Now I'm just sad that I can't actually own the thing on video. Hope it stays up on Youtube a while, because that is definitely worth a second watching at some point. Also this managed to consume most of a week in which I stopped doing most other recreational things, which is pretty unusual. So yeah, if you haven't seen this, go watching it now. EDIT: Just realized looking back on my previous comment that this means I have watched 30 episodes in a day and a half. Wow. |

The twist with his teacher. I mean we all knew it, but the actual twist behind him, that I did not see.

And, knowing my history of these characters, learning that Zhang Jue was actually working for Sima Yi was kind of an OMG moment for me.

I never got where the hell Zhang Jue came from. I must have missed something somewhere. All I know is that he was an insane angel obsessed with the power of the Dark Pentagon.

I'm on episode 48 and I'm a bit confused. Though it may just be my inattentiveness.
So, on episode 39, the Angels said the heroes have 36 hours to end the dream battle, or else the world will be destroyed. Do the next ten episodes take place during those 1.5 days? 'Cause if so, this is the fastest endgame I've seen in a Toku. Also, because Cao Cao (Jojo, iirc) didn't get the Imperial Piece and win the Dream Battle, Sima Yi was all "Use the Dark Pentagon- you will be more powerful than Liu Bei and get the Golden Piece." And Jojo believed him, and underwent all that torture to become Kaiser. But in reality, Sima Yi was all "I'm the main villain, I will get the Royal Seal, I will rule the Heaven and Earth, Jojo will be my slave, villain stuff". Am I correct on that assumption? Also, dang this show is awesome. Last few episodes took a whole new level in creepy. EDIT: DAAAAAAANG! That ending was full of closure! This show was a treat for me, really, it was! At first, I found it boring. But as soon as episode 12 hit, I became quite invested in the story. Cao Cao, Sun Ce, and Liu Bei..... you three will be missed. But, seriously, can we talk about that climactic fight against Sima Yi?! That was amazing! Last edited by MangaArtist18; 09-25-2017 at 12:47 PM.. |

The whole 35 hours thing was accelerated because of the Dark Pentagon reviving and making more Warlords. So by defeating the extra Warlords they were able to buy some more time.
