My reason for bailing on Power Rangers is technical.
You need to be able to tell the whole story. When you reduce the count you're forced to cut things that can make the series and story actually work. Mystic Force - RPM had taken a major hit because of this at 32. When Samurai / Super Samurai ran they were back up to 40 the full story could be told. The only screw up here was Mega Force / Super Mega Force. Gosei and Gokai had only 22 episodes each. They should have saved the upgrade on Gosei for Series II. That would have given Mega Force a full 44. The next would have been what was Super Mega Force. Under a new name. Dino Fury had corrected for this by waiting an extra year and they told the full Ryu Soul story. Also MMPR II. The year 1 uniforms felt out of place with the Dai (Great) Ranger footage. Since then I've switched over and started again from Zyu. I"m on Galaxy Man at the moment which was adapted as Lost Galaxy - Aba which was adapted as Dino Thunder on DVD.

You've said as such on like 10 threads already. You don't need to keep repeating it every single place and even make a new thread for every opinion you have.

If your technical problem with PR is something that happened 8 years ago, which by your own admission has never happened since that time, then why are you deciding to quit now? If you're enjoying Dino Fury so far, then shouldn't you like, keep watching?

Sometimes when adapting for Power Rangers they cut things that can actually make Power Rangers work better and improve the story you're trying to tell.
Jungle Fury surprisingly was the only one of the 4 (Mystic Force - RPM) that had actually worked with 32 episodes. Mystic Force , Operation Overdrive and RPM were force to throw away and drop a ton of potential story masterial that could have made all 3 work and tell a stronger story. The Jetix era was where it fell short because of the reduction to 32. Ninja Storm - Space Patrol Delta had enough room to tell a good story with 38 episodes. With Saban Era II Dino Charge was the best one of the 4. I've been watching all the series Zyu forward. I've seen Deka - Go Busters and Ryu Soul. I need to finish Kyo Ryu and Nin. After that the slate will be wiped clean. Shout Factory luckily had picked up Aba.

Either way, that was then, but you're quitting now. So I still don't understand your logic here. Personally, I would give that honor to Samurai.

Like I know this is the internet, and I know that people are free to their opinions, but lord, there is no need to repeat opinions ad nauseum. At this point it's really just begging for attention. Which I'll give, but only mockingly. |

Simple. There are story points that could have worked in Power Rangers they cut. I basically want to go with what they did in Japan. True there are things not suitable for western viewers but I feel it's part of the story and also those things are vital to the series and are needed.

Hard disagree. One of the things that has made Power Rangers work in the past is that it's (usually) not just a copy and paste of the Sentai but that it takes the footage and makes something new and unique out of it. PR has made the direct translation work, but most of the really memorable seasons did their own thing. I would never want to lose RPM or In Space in exchange for a remake of Go-Onger or Megaranger.
As for losing episodes? Yeah, that's going to happen. There's only been one time in Power Rangers history where the producers were willing to spend the cash for as many episodes as possible and that was the glory days of MMPR season 1 (which had so many episodes that Toei had to make new footage for PR to dub over). The franchise just isn't big enough to spend that much money on anymore; the entire premise of moving to New Zealand and reducing season lengths is to make the show as cheaply as possible. |

If you want Power Rangers to do a copy and paste of what Sentai did then just....watch Sentai?
