I'm much more interested in who voted against Keiwa. Daichi and Sae obviously, but whose third voice? On the one hand, it looks more like Ace, on the other hand, the show shows him more insightful.

You mean "As the Gods Will"? I've yet to read the manga but the live-action movie version I've seen and it's great. But, yeah, it is a possibility. Perhaps no one is the Dezastar/DesiStar and it turns out that Chirami is, as I like to call it, fooltricking everyone. I mean the Chirami seems kind of mysteriously suspicious to begin with.

Saving civilians is still important even in the scenario of the Jyamato winning.

If a round can result in either: A) Jyamato winning and 500 people are dead vs B) The Jyamato winning and (miraculously) no civilians were actually killed. Wouldn't scenario B still be more preferable to the pov of an altruistic person?

I've been keeping up with Excite Subs for Geats. They post later than GenmCorp did (usually Tuesday or Wednesday), but they have pretty good subs, and I'd say a similar style to Over-Time.

- I am even more sure than I was before that Daichi is the Desire Star. Like, I am struggling to imagine any other motivation he could have to throw Keiwa under the bus like he did.

- I was kinda (half-jokingly) hoping they'd be adding reality show elements like interviews with the contestants now that the Riders and the IRL audience are aware the DGP is a reality show, but never in a million years did I expect they'd actually do it. I like it; it gives us a deeper look into the thoughts the Riders have as they play the DGP and try to figure out who the Desire Star is.

Daichi is a smart and suspicious type. He knows that with his type of schemer, he will be the first suspect. He needs to find a scapegoat to keep him from being kicked out and Keiwa is a great candidate because he is being cast as a loser in this DGP for no apparent reason, even though he wasn't a wimp even in his first game. True, there is a problem with the fact that Ace cannot be kicked out of the DGP. This means that he will remain in the game even after the disclosure, he will simply be forced to win the old fashioned way.

Daichi accusing others can add up arguments for him being a Desire Star, but I gotta remind you that this episode had Chirami announcing that players can be eliminated for being the most voted, regardless if they're Desire Star or not. Well Keiwa was sorta a wimp in the first game, though at best he seems to be better than Ginpen (what I meant for my reply here is that, Taira, Masamune, and Gai are all older businessman which makes them physically inactive and thus unimpressive fighters, but Masamune and Gai are helped by the raw power of their Rider), getting degraded as the weakest player by at least Morio and Michinaga, and he only got his shit together in fighting starting from ep. 8. But a clearer reason for him being loser is perhaps, Keiwa is the ordnary person, everyone else is famous.

Regarding Ace being a trickster though, I also gotta remind that, other than you saying Keiwa isn't a wimp, tanukis also has a knack for trickery, it wasn't a throwaway line from Keiwa in ep. 16. The kanji for kitsune (狐) and tanuki (狸) together create 狐狸 (kori), which is a metaphor meaning ‘sly person’. The main trio's animal motif are all trickster animals together, Keiwa and Neon too not only Ace, the cat likely wasn't only picked for the cuteness aspect but also the sly cleverness.

I thought he had a change of desire due to Win's info, Win claims a staff's knowledge is limited compared to Game Master, thus Ace now picks a position that attains more knowledge in DGP, Game Master compared to staff.

In the zombie round, Neon was named the weakest player. In the card round, Keiwa was simply unlucky to get Michinaga as a partner. And since he constantly came across Boost, he also always saved civilians and regularly shot Jamato. I think he obviously destroyed more enemies than the Morio, who ran around with a shield for two rounds.
And I'm not sure that Ginpen was that weak. His mistake is that he climbed the Jamato boss with a weak buckle. Even the champion Ace needed Boost to destroy this villain. I suppose he could have handled the Magnum without Boost, but Ginpen didn?t have a top-end weapon either.

My bad, so yeah it adds the argument of saving being futile, though it's unknown how the destruction of the Jamar Area would go for now - and also unknown about failed reset cases like Sakurai parents if they're left to die.

Well saying Keiwa as a wimp doesn't mean ignoring Neon as one too. Both are newcomers (and naive ones) thus both performed poorly at the beginning. In the card round though Neon has stepped up her game by then thus the only clear weakest player at that time is Keiwa - for Morio his performance is offscreen before card round, but their bout in ep. 6 showed Keiwa losing in the struggle.

I don't feel that Geats needed Boost to destroy it though, he could've used it to make it faster or something, but generally Jamatos at that time aren't that tough.
