The Oscars are for movies that are high brow and Avengers Endgame is not like that. ACDC is right, Avengers Endgame is fine, but it is hardly the best movie of the year. Considering Parasite's the first foreign movie to actually win best picture alongside how from what I can tell, no other movie director got this many awards since Walt Disney, this movie deserves a hell of a lot more recognition than your average same old superhero flick. Think I'll get Snowpiercer for movie night this week to celebrate, love Bong Joon-Ho's work

Snowpiecer is awesome. The Host, and Memories of Murder are also great as well. I haven't seen Mother (Unrelated to the movie from 2017 with Jennifer Lawrence), and Okja yet.

When I saw "The Host" I got real confused because I thought "wasn't that a movie based off a book by the author of Twilight" and then I googled it and saw you were talking about the 2006 one.

Then I guess it’s purely junk food for me, since I’d rather binge on those than that fancy stuff the Oscars offer.

I'm happy that Parasite won. Now I hope a movie from Bollywood can win best picture next. I did see some people who are not happy about the news (I saw one person on Youtube that claims it was being woke or some stupid reason).

Probably not. I still think the movie looks bad despite them fixing the design. Movies with CG talking animals always never turn out good in my opinion.
