I've stopped trying to watch subbed anime via stream. Far too often episodes (And on occasions, entire chunks of episodes) are missing, so I've just resorted to downloading them. Saves me time and grief.

Watching some subbed episodes of Tamers was a weird experience.

In the one hand my inner child filled with excitement at it all, I don't remember details but the whole thing was very familiar and I began to remember more and more as I watched and honestly the whole concept of Digimon is just such an exciting concept for me even as an adult.

Yet it all felt so alien as well, with the Japanese cast. There are very few dubs I like but the ones I grew up with are so ingrained in my memory they actually sound better to me than the subs and so it was just very weird for me to have the Tamers all speaking in Japanese.

Also the animation has not aged well.

I'm midway through the Etemon portion of Adventure, and its weird to keep thinking that this guy is more powerful than Devimon I do love that monkey though.

Thinking back on Adventure 02, I don't remember the plot very well post the Digimon Emperor arc but I remember a big problem for me being that I vastly preferred the armour digivolutions to the standard ones.

I got so used to the English voice cast for Tamers that the Japanese just sounds weird
But the problem is that the dub makes some arbitrary changes (Gallantmon's voice, Antylamon's gender, everything concerning Orochimon) that I'm unsure which I like more.

And Tamers is 12 years old

I preferred the Armors, too. Forms like Digmon and Shurimon were so much cooler than Ankylomon and Aquilamon.

I just remember seeing Submarimon and going "Yup. Nothing this show throws at me will top that." And it didn't

I did love that the show had the Virus-type Metalgreymon in it too, albeit briefly. Much prefer that colourscheme over the standard version.
