Big arrivals this week
Star Wars Vintage Collection Death Trooper 4-Pack I'm loving these trooper packs and the variety of designs they've covered. Hope to see some battle droids next Star Wars Vintage Collection Assortment Just ... a bunch more. Not thrilled with the new Boba being a "deluxe" set, so I tried making due with all the extras they tacked on Star Wars The Black Series Darth Vader I don't collect Black Series and I don't intend to start. But I made an exception for Vader because it was easy to order, retail price, and its Vader. This piece definitely passes the eye test with the great sculpt and soft goods cape, but the articulation leaves a bit to be desired. Despite those nitpicks it makes for a great display Marvel Legends Retro Collection Symbiote Spider-Man I open 99.99% of all these items, but I'm making another exception here for this great cardback. That yellow font instantly reminds me of the 90's series that first made me a fan of this classic character Power Rangers Lightning Collection Not-Ryusoul Red A wise man once said, most Ranger toys can also double for Sentai ... SUPER HERO TIME

Oooh you should not have shown me that little teamup image at the end, now I'm tempted to get Ryusoul Red as well... I genuinely feel they done such a great job on him, he's one of the best-looking figures in the line

Actually being able to pose it like the rollcall and other Toei promo pics is incredible, let me tell ya. The only downside of this release is the missing paint. The changer is just all black plastic, albeit all the details are all sculpted in. The blade is missing red paint, and they cast it in silver plastic when I believe it was white on the prop? That's pretty much it though. For the ease and price I got it for it's a really good pickup.

Hasbro's incredibly lackluster posing in their promo pics don't do these figures any favors. Having another LC figure in hand (Time Force Red) showed me just how expressive these figures can be, so I took the chance on Dino Fury/Ryusoul.

I think my biggest complaints about the LC figures are the neck and the hips. The hips just look bad with the way the legs join to the torso. If the figure is posed just standing straight, the hips always stand out to me. That’s why I think they always look better in a crouch or squat or whatever. And I wish they would make the neck double jointed. One ball joint for the head, and one for the neck to join to the body. Also the accessories are just ugly most of the time. Thank you for allowing me to get those complaints off my chest here.
I own a bunch of these figures though and I am very happy to get some cheap(ish) power rangers figures that I can pretend are sentai figures. That dino ____ red looks great. I have no confidence in selecting the right word after “dino” with these Power Ranger Dino series. When I requested the replacement head for abarekiller from hasbro, I totally beefed it and said dino thunder or charge, whatever the wrong choice was. |

Yeah LC hip joints have always been my biggest gripe. They can't bring their legs together for a cool Ryusoulger pose, nor spread out in a strong triangle stance. They just look constantly relaxed.
But I keep buying them and reselling just a few weeks later after failing to do any poses I like!
