I went with Base, but that was to help out a friend who needed to move some stuff. I'd say go with whichever design you like better, Base is a good toy but Cosmic looks to be awesome as well. Or just buy both

I think Base is his best looking form. I'd go with that.

Based on my personal experience, I'd go with Base States. The figure feels more basic but of higher quality. The joints are solid, the accessories are comprehensive, and the overall profile of the figure feels more fluid and fitting to the show's representation than Cosmic States. Cosmic felt a lot more complex but with poorer execution (like the holding-things hands being blue plastic painted white) and some unnecessary tidbits, like the Foodroid. It felt as though the QC had gone whack by that time too, because my figure is floppy all over the place while my Base States is perfectly fine. Maybe it's because I got Base States's first release and my Cosmic States was from a batch distributed by Bluefin. I've heard that some people's Base States figures haven't been up to par, so press your luck as you will.

It's definitely not an isolated case - my Cosmic States is all flop.
I kind of regret, at the very least, not getting Base States also. I started out as a final form collector because I liked a lot of what was out for those more than base forms (PuToTyra, Emperor Kiva, etc.), but Cosmic really did disappoint me. He can't hold the Barizun Sword worth crap (Really? The hands are painted? I never actually noticed... that's not cool) and again, he's really loose. I do consider Nuggegyroika a definite plus though; I love having the little robo guys and wish more were included/had been included with standard releases. Base States sounds like a terrific figure and looks great. And you get the Rocket and Drill Modules, so he definitely comes with plenty.

I'd agree that Base states is the way to go if you're only only going to have one Fourze.
I also have module sets one, two and three, and I'd reccomend at least getting one, since it comes with Launcher and Radar to round out the switces on Base state's belt. It also has Magic Hand (which is good for some fun poses, especially if you have TaToBa and a stand or two) and Camera (which is ... good for what it is. It's a TV camera mounted on his arm). I's personally also give three a thumbs up, since it comes with five modules that all look pretty cool. |

I posted this over in the news thread, but since that's on the second page now I thought I'd put it here too in case anyone missed it.

Thanks for your input everyone! Base States it is then, now I just have to fight the temptation of buying all five of the module sets
