The Ultra Galaxy Fight stuff has been up my alley for a while now just cause it scratches my itches. Big team-ups. Villains with multiversal/timeline-manipulating abilities. I just love the stories or scenarios that can come from that.
Best example if what they've been doing with Belial and Tregear and where TDC left them off. From a marketing standpoint, they're very popular villains and iconic Ultras just due to them being evil and having tenancies before their turn that went against what an Ultra should usually be. So bringing them into this in a new way after the reigns of their current selves have already ended makes sense. What I didn't expect was to see them left at what's basically a, ironically, destined crossroad. After interacting with the individuals that would become some of their greatest adversaries, Geed and Taiga, and confronting the outcome of their actions in the main universe and what that's lead them to, it leaves you wondering whether these versions of Belial and Tregear are destined to follow the same steps that we know they do and still end up villains or do they do their own thing and go against that fate. We went from a universe where Belial and Tregear were defeated and destroyed for good to one where alternate timeline versions of them before their falls to darkness are wandering the galaxy looking for an answer to their plights. Will it just be a way to ensure they become evil again to keep fan favorites alive? Will it be a way to make antihero versions of them? Will they be redeemed? I really want to know. |

A tiny bit of wasted potential IMO is that they grabbed their items instead of swapping them. I don't remember exactly, but how do they even know what items belongs to who? Belial could’ve grabbed the mask and Tregear the staff, thus giving both a new form. That would’ve been fun.

Right now I think I'm most interested in seeing this Absolutian Lord that they keep referring to. There's this thread about the survival of the Absolutians and how their version of the spark tower won't last... It's suggesting they might need to cooperate with the Ultras to survive, and I wonder if this sleeping Lord will turn out to be something other than the "final boss monster" type being that would be expected.
Regarding Belial and Tregear, I think I'd most want to see either some sort of redemption arc (not looking likely), or at least seeing them (moreso Belial) become a different type of villain. I get that Belial was a very popular villain character (hence bringing him back) but really don't want to see this become a justification to bring him back doing all the same old stuff again. |

Finished the last 2 Cosmos movies. Ultraman Justice was a good addition, but I'm fine with him being exclusive to the movies because I feel having him in the main series would be a repeat of the Gaia and Agul's conflict.

Did not expect a world record for Ultraman. And of course it has to be Zero who gets it.

Yeah, they wrote "As of 2015..." but it's a February 2023 article. They really couldn't find any more recent information on the series? I get that's when the other record was probably made, but it would've been a pretty quick search to find out that X is no longer the most recent.

What raises my eyebrows about that is that 33 series gets Ultraman the record for "most spin-offs"... at that time Sentai was on its 39th series

Might be an issue of someone unfamiliar with the genre judging it and whether they view something as another season of a show vs a separate show.
