I wanna make a film about how to tokusatsu impacted me, but I realize it might run too close to tokusatsu gagaga.

I mean theres no harm in that. I think tokusatsu gagaga encompassed toku fans relationship with the medium pretty well. But it would also be nice to have an english version on top of that. Just like how we have The Office (UK) and The Office (U.S).

You can agrue that the show was never good to begin with. Even back it was airing in Japan, you had people that were very mixed on the show. At least the show give us a great SNES game.

As somebody who works in media, it's okay to make similar content. It's actually pretty difficult to make something exactly the same as somebody else, so even when you imitate something, your own style will seep in and that's what makes it unique. A lot of my content that I've made was extremely heavily influenced by other creators, but the end result is actually pretty different. So I say, go ahead and do it!

Besides, sometimes more of the same is good.

Fair, what I meant is that the people who grew up watching it remember it being a lot better than it actually is.

Watched Gundam Wing for the first time in 2018, and I honestly found it a chore to watch. And that feels wrong to say, because I like Gundam SEED. Feel like I'm being hypocrital. Might give Wing another watch and see if my opinion will change.

Great Godzilla in the sea, I feel the need (more like OBSESSED COMPULSION,actually) to buy more Rider Figuarts I don’t have room for 15 more and I’ll hit the 500 mark,but still *plenty* of holes in my collection to fill. I haven’t been this in love with a toy line since I started collecting Bandai Godzilla figures in 1992 or so. Nothing brings the kid out of my dusty self like receiving a box of goodies I earned. I’m so glad to see so many younger folks so into these genres of entertainment
