Shotaro Ishinomori is not "a random guy on the Internet". Stop acting like any criticism toward too much comedy translates to wanting every show to be a gorefest.
Wait a minute, I thought kids were supposed to be smarter than media producers gave them credit for. That's what the fandom always says when it comes to a show doing something they don't like. Now you do the reverse (kids don't care!) when you don't like what is being said. Make up your mind, please. Ishinomori accepted and embraced what Kamen Rider became - and even created Goranger. Did he like edgier shit like you? Yes. He loved Shin, and he wrote Black's Manga. Has Kamen Rider ever been that dark, outside of Shin and Amazons - both outliers marketed to adults? No. Amazon was pulled for being too gory...but it was about a guy even friendlier than Gentaro. It was still a fairly lighthearted show. Quote:
While we may not be the main demographic for these shows, I do agree that they should put effort in these shows and still appeal to a wilder audience. Something like Kamen Rider has substance to it while stuff like Teen Titans Go, Ben 10 and most American cartoons fallen under the bargain bin label in my opinion (Stuff that no one really cares about anyways).

I give you that on Steven Universe. I'm not a big fan of it, but I give it A for effort. I can't get into most kids shows because they don't appeal to me, but I do respect Steven Universe, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Gravity Falls and the last Thundercats shows for trying to be something fresh & different than the typical junk food show (Yes, I know that Japan has plenty of junk food Shonen anime for kids too).

Has Kamen Rider ever been that dark, outside of Shin and Amazons - both outliers marketed to adults? No. Yes, because toy sales for those series were so bad, they almost cancelled the show. Den-O saved the franchise. Trust me, I'd love another Blade...but it ain't gonna happen. |

I'll remember that the next time someone complains about the next media producer doing something contrary to, say, Tolkien's legacy.
Are the early years of Phase I Heisei (pre-second half of Kabuto) too much to ask for? That' pretty much what I would like out of Rider again. W, Gaim and Build are the closest to it. It is when you look at Toei's profits, try telling them to stop doing what's working for them. I can complain about a different direction of something I used to like such as Pokemon, but I have to deal with the fact my opinion won't matter as what they're doing is clearly working for them

I'm pointing out how flippant your thinking is. Almost every discussion of this kind eventually reaches this point. It's one reason I've tuned out of the fandom over the years.
Probably because I have no idea what you're talking about and I've never played that game. So "just shut up" as I pointed out before. You haven't made any actual point by saying something like this. You said just "this is how they are, stop talking." Just curious as that was the first thing that popped up in my mind My point was that it's working and Toei has zero reason to change this. Your point is "BUT WHAT ABOUT THE THING I WANT?" It's not "shut up this is how it is" it's "They literally have no reason to change things up". That's what happens to things that become very successful after all

Wow, you get riled up by things you see online very easily. This isn't the first time you've flipped your lid. Take a break from your electronic gadget and do something else.

Nah I get riled up when I realize I'm talking to a wall who flipped their shit when I said "I liked this episode but I didn't like this line of dialogue in it" to which you went "GET OVER IT!" or how you're one of the many absolute shit for brains who claim I'm too sensitive when I adore shit like Berserk, Devilman Crybaby and Robocop. You're the only person who has an issue with a lighthearted season and that's what started this argument. You throwing a hissyfit at the idea of a lighthearted season because you don't like lighthearted stuff because you're just the average neckbeard who can't comprehend people liking things you don't or vice versa.
