Well, that was certainly an episode, while I knew that this episode would be pretty plot-relevant, I didn't exactly expect to get this much information in just a single episode. The episode mainly (in a loose sense) follows Tarou attending Sonoi's funeral, which was set up by a mysterious council, aside from that, we also get Murasame and Jirou sort of talking to each other, and Murasame even helps out the Donbrothers for a bit, so that seems like a good sign of him eventually joining the team.
Though after Murasame leaves, his sword is picked up by Inuzuka, then Sononi, then Saruhara, and finally Tarou, the sword seems to take over the user's mind and causes them to attack anyone close by them, though Tarou manages to overcome that. Of course, we then get Toradra Onitaijin destroying the giant Hitotsuki, as well as a new finisher (which I prefer compared to whatever last week's was), but then we see that Sonoi has been revived by some strange liquid, and that's all, this episode had a lot of stuff happening, though it didn't feel too rushed. I really liked this episode, and going by the preview for next week, it seems we are staying in plot territory, so I'm looking forward to next episode as well. |

I don't know how to handle myself now that this show has a story again, wow. What I was most pleased about thought, is that the show is really starting to treat Jirou (both of him too!) and Murasame as actual characters as opposed to just extra suits in fights, and just in time as it looks like the beasties will be getting the same treatment next time too!

Still madly in love with this show. Last week was super fun; this week's story is very interesting. Feels like some they are putting a few more puzzle pieces together now.
My favorite thing about this episode was Don Murasame getting some more screen time as an actual character. And weirdly enough, they are hitting two birds with one stone for me by making Jirou the bridge between Murasame and the DonBrothers. Because if I have to be honest, Jirou is the weakest part about this show for me. Which you know, with the show being this good is not a huge problem, and I do like aspects about him, but at large I really don't care for the "two minds in one body- one peaceful and one violent"-kinda shtick. I find it boring; it’s hardly a new concept. But tying it together with Murasame kinda gives it a new aspect I enjoy. More of this please! |

I do find it kind of novel that Jirou's "Dark" side was actually the original mind.
Anyway, Murasame getting some time to do something is rather neat, and he's able to actually kill the Juuto for reasons. Right now I'm just curious about his mother.

This seems a little early to me. Check the source. It seems to be "Industrial Insect Squadron Tateranger"

I think Sonoi are revived as a new evil Ranger. Maybe he becomes an evil version of Don Momotaro.
Toradora Onitaijin's new finisher is better than previous finisher in episode 28. Last edited by Blade Fang; 09-21-2022 at 08:48 AM.. |

I wouldn't want to find a funeral invitation in my chicken sandwich either.
Some great Murasame and Toradora backstory, which appears to be Tiger Persona was the original and the Drago Persona is the new one (were those kids playing in a graveyard?). And Murasame curses everyone who wields it (well the real one is considered a cursed sword), so I guess that means only members of the Don Clan can wield it, or it just reacts negatively to when Murasame is resting. I love how the Nooto handmaidens wear black instead of Momotarou's ones in white (it's probably a funeral thing, but still interesting nonetheless), but not much of a council since there's only two of them. I love how Tarou called them out for putting the invitation in his sandwich which messed up the message too and forced them to eat it. I did think Sonoi bit it a little too early (though we're at 30 episodes, geez, this felt short), but stealing Tarou's power, while him using Murasame to get it back was a little rushed, I'm sure there's some reprimands incoming or something, I don't know. I guess Natsumi is the Jyuuto and Miho is the fake identity, since she doesn't attack Tsubasa. I knew this wasn't going to go well when it was revealed how similar they look, but I have a feeling neither of them will get their girl. Also, love how Murasame got sealed by a Manga. He really loved it alright. Next Episode: TEAMWORK! WITH EVEN MORE TEAMWORK!!!

Unexpected twist how Danger Jirou was actually Jirou's original personality. Considering the visual of ToraDragonjin being a tiger caged inside a dragon, I thought that seemed symbolic of it being the other way around. Or maybe Jirou himself is the cage that tamed Danger Jirou, so it's like the second personality coming from outside rather than within. Although the visual of Danger Jirou adding a cape to Jirou's civilian outfit is the opposite of that as well. Regarding how the split personalities function as separate entities as Don Dragokuu and Torabolt, I would presume that's just a magical attribute of Don Clansmen applied to his mental state.
Nice for Don Murasame to finally get some focus and development after being totally irrelevant since his introduction. Acting of his own free will is pretty significant, not only questioning Mother's instructions but actively going against them to seek his own answers from the two Jirous. Even Mother learns something from humoring his curiosity, as she says she'll hear him out more from now on. Even we learn something, as it turns out that Murasame is the Bane of the Jyuto, the only one who can slay them, which makes him an inexpendable ally to the Noto (and Inuzuka who uses the Ninjark Sword to get Sayama off his tail).
