SHFUpgrade's replacement torso and head for Shin Kamen Rider came in today. Overall really nice, the hair is a lot thicker than I expected but still looks nice, though you may have to fan it out a bit to get a nicer silhouette. No real problems to note beyond the new neck being a bit short to go with the head, so putting a scarf on it may give a bit of a bulkier impression. I'm personally gonna swap back to the originals though.

This month's' haul was full of things that surprised me.
Figma Dread Samus: No joke, this might possibly be the best Figma figure ever made. I know that sounds like major hyperbaly, but I mean it. The articulation, the sculpt, the feel of the figure as a whole, it's just incredibly well put together all around, and, even though it's not my favorite suit for Samus, is hands down The definitive Samus figure in my eyes. My only real critique is that I wish it had even more paint on it so it wouldn't be missing a few details. UFO Robo Grendizer: The Feast of the Wolves: I've not played this yet, but the mere fact that this game exists, much less got localized, will never cease to surprise me. Jada Toys P2 Ryu: I've seen alot of people swapping parts between this and the P1 version to make a version of P1 Ryu with a better skin tone. And while sure, the P2 skin tone is better, I don't think it's perfect. The shading on it is actually pretty poor, sadly. I'll hold out for a bit to see if a 3rd version comes out. If not, I might just give in and do the parts swap myself. Massive-Verse Books: I already posted my thoughts on these books elsewhere, but if you want my short impressions: Rogue Sun: Awful. Don't bother. The Dead Lucky: It's decent. Check it out if a plot synopsis at all interests you. Radiant Red: Really good. Highly recommend it especially if you already like Radiant Black. McFarlane Toys King Spawn: If you've been collecting Spawn toys, you know what to expect with this one. Still confused as to why a majority of the accessories are guns, though. SHF Trunks (Latent Power): The latest entry in SHF's' line of superior repaints. I already had the original when it came to this one, but that one I'll just keep in base form, and this one will be Super Saiyan. Power Rangers Unlimited: Hyper Force: So glad to see Hyper Force continued in some form. It's short, but it's a fun read. I had a mighty need for Sixth Rangers: I found LC Magna Defender at a local comic shop, so that was a fun discovery. Remastered MMPR Green, well, glorified accessory pack for me, haha. As for Mezco White Ranger, just like Green before him, it's a solid figure, but it's 7 inches tall, so having it fit in with the rest of the collection takes a little fudging. Power Rangers Lost Chronicles Kickstarter Pack: Just like their first Kickstarter, this is a really nice set. Definitely wanna go and read these classic comics at some point. SS OOO Tajador (Final Episode Version): Beautiful piece, just like the original figure. Love the wings display piece alot.

First haul of the year!
Couple knicknacks from Suruga-ya during their weekly(?) free shipping promos Figure haul from amiami: MAFEX DX Shin Ultraman If you held out on a 1/12 Shin Ultra, this is the one to get. Fully loaded at a really good price in this day and age MAFEX Robocop Renewal Ver. A bit of a controversial figure because of the new paint highlights, but looks pretty good in person. The finish on the jaw is a vast improvement over the first release. Really happy we got this reissue. Both this one and the Robocop 2 version look like they're still available with various shops SHF Kamen Rider No.0 I'll take any and all figures from Shin KR. Wasn't expecting the antenna pieces to stick out so much, kinda scary if the figure topples forward. Maybe I should clamp it down on a stand ... SHF Kamen Rider Vulcan Lonewolf A figure I don't see pop up as much, must've been the most popular of the V-Cin suits. Despite it being a repaint, still a gorgeous piece Nendoroid Shin Kamen Rider I did say I would take all Shin figures right? And my first Nendo figure actually. Really fun and tiny guy. An interesting learning experience with how this line designs alt looks and accessories, but it leads to a nice variety of different display options. And the eyes light up! RIDER KICK!
