Pfft...yeah. Kamen Rider had it's ups and downs with emotions, didn't it? It can tear out your heart one minute and make you bust a gut the next. I hope W is as good as OOO, I hold high expectations for the other seasons. But I'm not disappointed with what I've seen so far from Fourze, so it seems he's making a good "replacement" for Eiji.

I'll be glad to get back into the full swing of watching Fourze and getting W started. I should also continue with Shinkenger as well, but that's another story. |

Well...I find it bitter sweet to say that I've gotten to the end of Kamen Rider OOO. I don't know what it is about the Japanese shows that make me feel such true emotions when they come to a close, but it's happened again. I slogged through Mystic Force without a care that it was over, due to it's few redeeming qualities, though, to be fair, I was harsh on it due to my love and respect for Magiranger.
But yeah...Magiranger, I didn't want it to end because of how much fun I was having with it and how much I loved it. Gokaiger left me feeling happy for the cast and wanting more...and now, here we are with OOO. Despite being the villains, there are four characters I found myself feeling genuine sorrow for when they had died. Mezul, but only a bit, considering how she rejected Gamel before death due to how she thought of him as "not enough" for her. Gamel, of course, because even after such a harsh rejection from her, all he's done since we've met him is love and protect Mezul. What really got me was that last treat he left for Mezul's coin...I'm gonna miss those two. It was one thing when they died as a couple, but it really tugged at my heartstrings when Gamel was left behind without Mezul, even for a brief time. Cazali's death at the hands of Maki had me briefly feeling sorry for the guy, but not to the same extent as Mezul and Gamel. And especially not Ankh. Ankh is the one that sticks with me the most out of all of them. He knows he's going to die and yet lends his medal to Eiji, knowing that this will mean the end for him. That's another bonus from all of this. I really appreciate how it wasn't Ratortah that was used to save the world, it wasn't even TaToBa or PuToTyra. It was my personal and now cemented favorite combo, TaJaDor that was used to put an end to Maki's plans and save the world. Letting Eiji use TaJaDor one last time really shows how far Ankh came before his death. In the beginning, all he cared about were getting cell medals and his own personal medals back, not about humanity, and barely even about Eiji or his human host. But now, he's here, sacrificing himself by using his damaged medal to save humanity. I could go on longer about this, but I fear that I might bore people with my rambling. I had one hell of a run with OOO...I definitely made the right call in starting with OOO for my first Kamen Rider season. I hate to see it end, but now I can look forward to new beginnings with Kamen Rider W. I'll probably post about Episode 1 sometime in the afternoon.

Yep, it's really hard to dislike that guy. How can you hate someone who wants to be friends to everyone? You can't!...not if he's a Kamen Rider, at least.
I'll be glad to get back into the full swing of watching Fourze and getting W started. I should also continue with Shinkenger as well, but that's another story. Fourze is such a great series, you have so much coming you have no idea. None. And I really wish I could tell you.. but no spoilers |

Shinkenger's ending is great, and so is the beginning, but the middle draaaaaaaaaaaaaags and it has one of the worst mech and sixth rangers, ever.
Fourze has an amazing first quarter or so, then it is all down hill from there. Meteor is like the only thing that kept me watching the last three quarters of the show, and even he got ruined by a shitty upgrade.

Minus Uva, whose character arc came to its most logical and satisfying conclusion, I thought the handling of the Greeed was terrible. Despite a larger cast of villains, and greater focus on them, they actually did very little in the series and had an in story device to vanish for whole arcs at a time. So for them to just line up at the end just to be knocked down, it was really quite pathetic in my opinion.

I think you'll like Shinkenger. Once it's over though, you should try Goseiger. Or atleast the Shinkenger v Goseiger movie. I think you'd like them both.
Fourze is such a great series, you have so much coming you have no idea. None. And I really wish I could tell you.. but no spoilers Oh and you don't have to worry about me liking Shinkenger. I've made it to Episode 24 and I'm loving it. Much better than Samurai...blegh...anyway, yes, I look forward to more of Shinkenger, more of Fourze and getting onto more of Goseiger. I've already seen episode one recently. I still have nine sentais that I've started that I need to complete, and the closest ones to completion are Boukenger and Shinkenger. |

Like as much as I thought characters like White Wizard and Phoenix were crap in Wizard, they both got absolutely EPIC final battles that at least gave you greater appreciation of the character by the end, even if they actually added nothing of substance to the show.

Yep, and I'll be talking about Episode 2 in Super Sentai version of this thread soon enough.
As for Kamen Rider W? I really like it so far! ^^ It opened up with the debut of Cyclone Joker in the first few minutes, which reminds me of Shinkenger having Takeru show up as Shinken Red in the first minute or so. (It makes sense, considering that Shinkenger was airing at the same time as W.) The early debut of Shinken Red and Cyclone Joker is a good thing, considering that both of them managed to get my favor pretty quickly with their badass first minute debut. That's why my first Figuarts purchase was Shinken Red. The Detective theme for this show works out nicely and manages to keep me interested, and I really liked the idea of two minds joining together to become this new Kamen Rider. I look forward to more episodes of this show. |

W has a very awesome opening. Right away it hits you with a burning "why?" What's going on, who are these people and why are they running? Action out of the gates, and one of the best first Henshins of any rider I've seen. And the answers are great, especially in the W portion of Movie War 2010 film, which is required viewing come episode 16 of the show. (actually I think the movie takes place after 16)
