Wasn't expecting as much hostility to the format as it turned out here
Really beautiful collections from you guys though and it is a shame that it can be so expensive, as others have pointed out but for me as a film nerd the quality pays for itself, where the effort has been made Bluray really does make DVD look worn out. I've so far stuck to Amazon and it's cost me around six pounds or less per film, which in the case of things like Jaws or The Frighteners and the amount of extras that come with them seems relatively inexpensive to me.

Back when I had a PS3, I bought a few, but only like 3, and thankfully I got normal DVD release with them-
Percy Jackson Lightning Thief Iron Man 2 Transformers Dark Of The Moon Courageous. Reminds me I need to watch that last one.

My only Blu Ray right now is Bad Grandpa; which may change in the future. I borrowed Frozen from my sister and brother in law so I have to side with Taliman here; DVDs are a good format but paying the extra scratch for the quantity has so far been worth it.
I would love to get more anime BRs but I sometimes wonder when I'll have the time to just be able to watch, plus our dog barks everytime something goes down. I don't like hearing howls when things I want arrive in the mail. |

The latest additions to my collection! I'm also adding "War of The Worlds" to my list of least favourite Blurays that I own, it's so noisy and has such heavy grain that it borders on old VHS fuzz. It looks more like a made for TV 90s movie than a blockbuster made in 2005 and sure, this may be Spielberg's intention, but that doesn't mean it doesn't look like shit. Right now The Last Stand and Jaws are probably the only two films I've explored in my collection so far that genuinely feel worth owning on the presentation of the feature alone. Films like Dredd are great, but the fun is only if you have a big HD 3D TV because if not, the HD jump is not really worth it. The Warriors is a fantastic remastering too but the lack of a version that has both the theatrical and directors cuts is frustrating and The Frghteners, despite an awful presentation, had fantastic extras for fans of that movie. Will probably, next weekend, trade in Alien, The Frighteners and War of The Worlds just in attempt to get some sort of value back for them even if it'll probably amount to about two pounds exchange. At least it's two pounds closer to affording that twenty film big Clint Eastwood Bluray collection

Also these three have cool 3D cases! (That wasn't my WHOLE reason for buying these...honest).
