This is apparently sourced from RangerBoard originally, and they found it via eBay, but the unproduced Power Rangers: Origins movie apparently has some surviving material (whether or not it's final artwork or just preliminary stuff).
https://comicbook.com/anime/news/pow...imated-reboot/ This was another attempt by Saban that never materialized, and to say the least...the depicted Megazord design is radically different from Daizyujin or the Lionsgate 2017 Movie Megazord! It may never be finished or released, but it's still interesting and one can't help but wonder if this is what should be done now. |

That Megazord design looks more like a Transformer than a Megazord.

If they were going to go with something that wasn't Daizyujin for their megazord, I would've loved to see them use the Zyu2 Megazord design as a basis had this been a thing. Other than that, I like how they repositioned the white diamonds on their suits. It's such a minor adjustment but it looks nice.

To be honest, the footage looks more like a parody of PR. I don’t know, it’s interesting in its own way, but as the first cartoon in the franchise, I would have liked something more respectful and classic. I also don't like those elongated designs made famous by Illumination and the Spiderverse.

This could've been fun. It seems like they were channeling the vibe of a lot of kids animated movies at the time.
Though why do they keep messing with the original Megazord's design? It's perfect as is. This just look like it's from Dino Thunder. |

Honestly, this kiiiiiinda looks like ass to me. Them using a completely different design for the Megazord yet basing the suits on the Zyuranger designs is a huge knock against it, the helmetless Zack and Trini posters feel kind of meanspirited for some reason (the latter moreso).
Like I think the only thing that's a saving grace that makes me interested is what the others look like without their helmets. I think this was supposed to be made by Zagtoon, judging by what was said before years ago? I do like the Miraculous Ladybug aesthetic. It's just... I'd rather it've been for a new different team rather than just retreading MMPR again. |

I'm...not sure what to think from these designs to be honest. The megazord...why change the megazord (unless they didn't want to owe money to Toei/Bandai?). I think I'd be more open to it having being a brand new team, new suits and new villains.
It's not a knock on the company though as from what I've seen of ladybug they do good stuff. |

Here's the thing; did it need to be an Origin story of the MMPR again when we already have the TV show, the 2017 reboot, and the BOOM! Studios comics, which already have told their origins before? If they were willing to radically change the Megazord to be unrecognizable, why not just make this a new team altogether?
This just another addition to the MMPR focused bloat we've gotten over the years for Power Rangers. Quote:
