And it's kind of amazing

This isn't quite as jam-packed as their BLACK release unless they're not showing the full extent of features yet for some reason, but interviews are pretty cool!

Since this marks a third movie missing from a Discotek release of Rider, it would be cool if they did a nice round set of all three... but I wouldn't be surprised if we never got them with how weird rights are for Toei movies. Bit of a shame since Run All Over The World I found more fun and interesting than BLACK's two movies, with a "teamup" and the appearance of the Golgom priests. Its loss is more felt for me than BLACK's movies, at least

Not a big surprise given the very obvious hint they gave us during the special features breakdown.

But very nice to see this! I'll probably wait till Black RX releases to grab both it and Black together. But it's nice to see both together.

We know from Shout dealing with Toei, that more popular series cost more money. So it's not terribly surprising that a smaller company like Discotek has stuck with Showa.

The rights aren't weird at all. They're just a separate license from the TV series. We've known this since Shout first started releasing Sentai sets. People asked about movies and they explained they were separate licenses and they didn't see profitability in paying for them. Same rules apply here. Discotek likely doesn't want to pay whatever Toei is asking for the movies especially since they aren't even feature length.

You also forget in the early days the Ranger Movies were 30 minutes with
Ranger team ups an hour so given the 30 minute run time I doubt
Shout Factory or any other company would front that kind of cash
for a half hour movie.

This used to also hold true for the Rider line but with Blu Ray Shout
might be including the movies as a bonus.

For the Ranger sets we still just get the episodes darn it.

It would be fun to add the movies to our disk libraries
but fat chance of that happening.
