I unboxed the Insect Spawn of Unicron, the Big Bad Beetleborg, the Majesty of Kings today.

What an awesome toy this is. Sentai robots are in an unprecedented upward spiral right now, they keep getting better and better.

I’m guessing you don’t actually own King Ohger?

Hachi’s wings don’t peg into the stinger/foot. They just sit alongside it, and they couldn’t peg into it anyway because the stinger would lose its articulation. The clear wings have absolutely nothing to do with stability in combined mode. You could pop them off entirely and nothing would be affected.

I saw a ton of these in Japan, they were actually pretty impressive-looking. Much better than what I'm used to seeing DX look like.

Yep. Tho I kinda wish they pegged in somewhat. Just feels a bit weird they move around when posing. Not a big deal though.

So I'm browsing for a preorder of Kabuto, Hopper, and Scorpion, and a lot of places are trying to sell the 3 pack for about $120...Which is more expensive than the mech itself.

Where would be a good spot to find the 3 pack for a normal price?

Do you import from Japan? AmiAmi sells mecha-stuff below retail, but they will only list it as it gets released. Usually the day before release, that's where I will buy them.

That might be why I can't seem to find them on AmiAmi. I was just assuming they sold out or preorders closed, but if they don't list them until release, then that makes more sense.

Usually the Friday before. So these guys release April 22nd I think? Then AmiAmi will put it up the 21st.

It's not a 100% guarantee, Don Onitaijin was the Thursday I think so I missed him, some pop up on the exact date so check a few times around each day to make sure.

This also extends to other DX-stuff; they don't put that up for pre-order generally.
