Yanma and Gira have been abducted by the Queen of Ishabana, and must learn the story of her kingdom.

Hiroki Konno guest stars as Carre. Konno was recently seen as Igari in Kamen Rider Black Sun.

While Himeno's spoiled personality may make her a little difficult to get along with, she acts with an authenticity that should be respected. A purely selfless person just doesn't exist, a monarch even less so. Himeno doesn't bother with any pretense of humility, as she'd rather be transparent with her subjects than faux-appeasing. In that sense, she's the perfect role model for a girl like Edda, who was letting her feeling of selfless duty to her father ruin her life. It's a great moral for a Sentai show, that to deny selfishness is actually self-destructive and you need to know happiness before you can protect other people's happiness.
Himeno is a surprisingly autonomous heroine for a show produced by Ohmori, in contrast to those like Kiriko and Amy who were reduced to distressed damsels for the main character to save and make them fall in love. Honestly, I'm concerned that Ohmori might still try and push her in this direction later, but at least for now I like her a lot and hope to continue liking her. Again, one of this show's unique appeals is that every King-Ohger is their own leader, so it would be detrimental if anything happened to undermine that. I have faith in Takano to write these characters consistently. Curious to see how Kaguragi, who presumably used God Kabuto to attack a village full of innocent civilians, is also going to convince me that he's a good person deep down. He's the one I've been looking forward to meeting the most since his bio, so next episode should be entertaining. Quote:

I wasn't going to watch this show. I'm generally just not that into Sentai and I usually give up on the shows I do try to watch. I was curious about this after the first episode aired, though, so I gave it a shot. I'm really enjoying it so far. It's very visually dynamic with all of the SFX backgrounds and the characters are all pretty interesting so far. I'm not sure I'll finish the show, but it's got me hooked so far.

I put this episode off just to rewatch KingOhger.
Upon rewatch, I've noticed how much I can relate to Gira's Villain Act. At first I was wondering if I'd just get tired of his villain schtick, but I then realized that acting aloof in front of a stranger is exactly something I do. I'm someone who's content with playing the fool, so I can absolutely relate to Gira's spiel about being a Tyrant King every time he meets someone new. Himeno is absolutely a wannabe Disney Princess, and seeing Yanma trying and not trying to show he likes her is kind of funny and feels like someone should definitely be simping for her. Also, the plunger really got me, followed by the duo deciding "okay, she's not worth it, let's go home." I also love how the Bugnarok base is absolute chaos, and the whole "if 100 of you die, if you kill 101 your sacrifices will be worth it" is absolutely menacing and cool. And sending an interesting design for a Dung Beetle at the pretty kingdom is hilarious to me. Now we got Kabuto siding with Racles and Papillon spying in the background. Next Episode: "Ore koso Only One! No, that's not right... Ore wa Erabare shimono da!" He says trying to come up with a cool catchphrase...
