I have a question about the fansubs. So I have Nihon's subs of almost every Rider show they have done, but I am having playback problems. My BD player will not play ANY of their Blade subs at all and it will not play anything of Kabuto up to episode 41, but it plays all of Den-O, most of Kiva (eps 7-14 don't seem to), and all of W are fine. Why?
It does this also for Sentai. It will not play episodes 4-39 of Deka, and episodes 1-16 of Geki, but it plays the others without a problem. |

I can't give you any technical help, but I do know that TVN's Blade subs are really weird - probably because it was one of their earliest efforts (Faiz was their first Rider show, but they've been redoing it). I'm guessing that whatever they used to make those subs (some of which have really janked up image ratios) may just be so outdated that modern devices don't recognize it. Mind you, I know jack about video software.

A group called Fanservice Subs (FSS) recently released the first episode of Black RX. We'll see if this becomes an ongoing active project.
