I ordered the exact same green W shirt! It's the only one I've ordered so far though because I'm waiting to check the fit of these in hand before ordering any more. But I'm definitely planning to get Gaim on orange, and I want Build but can't decide what color to go with. I was hoping for blue since the graphic highlights his red, so that way it could have had both of his colors, but they don't have blue as an option...so I'm not sure what to do for Build just yet.

Yeah, the perfect choice for Build would be Blue, which is only available in the long sleeve shirt. I think either Cranberry or Black for Build would be solid choices. The Cranberry matches Rabbit's coloring, while Black is great for Hazard.

(I'm actually kicking myself for not getting the Ex-Aid shirt in Brown, to homage Ride-Player Nico, the 2nd best character in Ex-Aid.)

Now, as for the shirts - these were shirts that were originally offered on Premium Bandai during the Heisei Generations Forever movie in Japan. They were offered in Japan sizes and only on black. You can tell this first move alone is a way to gauge waters. The belt offerings were a first logical step. Offering the SODOs and these shirts are a bigger gamble, as hard as it is to believe. Doing well will send a message to Bandai and Toei that branching out more to a western audience may be fruitful and worth the efforts.

I'm personally hoping this will lead to Bandai Premium getting TWE releases in the future, as I'm sure many are hoping for, but overall Rider support increasing as a whole would be fantastic.

Candy-toys like SO-DO have been historically difficult to get distribution in the US. One of the reasons is that they are designed to be sold in non-toy specific stores so lack a lot of the stuff that sells in the US, like box windows and blister packaging. Also the candy inside them technically have to be removed before sale.

I'm glad they are testing the waters with the Kuuga set but I worry it won't sell well and send the wrong message. It's a P-Bandai set but it isn't marketed as such so they just look like overpriced candy toys. SO-DO are supposed to be like $4 a box. I've already had friends ask if if they are "as big as regular figures" and be surprised to find out some parts are actually stickers.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. SO-DO... there just isn't a lot in North American toys to compare it to? I definitely needed to be hands-on with a figure before I got the appeal. Stuff like shirts and belts and Figuarts, those are a lot more appealing to the average fan. Even the Figure-Rise kits have some familiarity, thanks to Gundam kits and Dragonball kits.

But, y'know, maybe the P-Bandai stuff is the way to start with SO-DO? It's not the sort of thing you can get cheaply from an importer. It's four figures in one box, no dupes or leftover halves. For me as a fan, it was something I wanted but didn't feel comfortable paying middleman prices for. So, yeah, this was the perfect thing for them to offer. (Also, since it's a limited item, they probably don't need to move a whole bunch to make it worth offering.)

I don't know. It's probably not the sort of impulse buy that'd get a lot of interest from fans, but it's also exactly the sort of thing I'd like Bluefin to offer in the US. I hope it does well enough for them to continue serving SO-DO fans.

A friend of mine that works at DHL told me that he saw packages label "Kamen Rider Kicks". Said he didn't catch where it was going. But at least he saw it. Lol!
