Bit of confusion here. I'm wanting to watch some shows on other platforms through a USB stick, and TV-Nihon seems like my best bet. Subtitles are built in, MP4 is more universally read than MKV, the colors and effects add a lot of character to the subs, the site has an easy to use format, and a few other perks over sites like Over-Time. Thing is, almost EVERYWHERE I check, people say to go with Over-Time, and that TV-Nihon is utter garbage. What am I missing here? Is there some fundamental flaw with TV-Nihon that makes it worth the effort of figuring out how to convert Over-Time's subtitles and MKV files to a readable format (which I've been working on for days, mind you), or is the TV- Nihon hatred something more akin to fanboy loyalty? "Xbox users suck, PS4 rulz!" type thing?

I never actually saw issue with TV Nihon personally. I've used their Gekiranger and Shinkenger subs and they were perfectly fine. I'd use em more if they released within a similar time frame with current series, so I personally go with Overtime and Genm corp for current ones, but if they're the only option, I'm fine with them. If you like what you saw in their subs, I say go for it. At the end of the day, you are the only one that it matters for what subs you pick.
Overtime is also a fantastic group don't get me wrong, and I jsut finished up their weekly releases for Build and Lupinranger, but in this case it seems their approach to subbing isn't the best for your needs. They're all good groups really. Except whoever in Hong Kong did those Hurricanger subs. That's what actual bad subs are like. |

Over-Time does SD versions of their releases. Just download them.
There definitely was a time where Tv-Nihon's stuff was utter garbage, but we put up with it because we had no other choice. I feel like they've gotten better over the years. That said, I only download their stuff when it's something no one else subs. Last edited by Smozz; 03-26-2018 at 05:49 AM.. |

TvNihon is ceetainly better than they used to be but they still play a little fast and loose with some translations sometimes. imo the best subs are still coming from other groups. TVN is my this will have to do cause no one else has subbed it yet option, otherwise I wouldn't use their subs. They also love to throw in f**ks and s**t etc for dramatic effect when its not neccasary. The colour and effects is flashy but I find it more distracting. personally don't find it hard to tell whos talking anyway.
I prefer to use overtime. if you need it in MP4 download the hardsub version which means the subs are encoded straight to the video like TVN. if you want it in HD, check the comments on the episodes someone normally does a hardsub HD version you can download. |

So, most of the work was done by DeadFish, I just scrubbed their subs, cleaned 'em up, and timed them for the Bunny Hat releases of the DVDs. If you have the DVDs, you can get the scripts here: https://sentaifans.wordpress.com/201...ed-in-english/ If you're starting from scratch, some group took my scripts and encoded them to the BunnyHat images and released them. https://nyaa.si/view/917077 |

Might be an old question or even a dumb one:
Who has subbed Dino Force Brave, a.k.a. Kyoryuger Brave!? |

It's twelve episodes of about 12 minutes. If you like pretty sweet looking fight scenes, it's pretty good. If you like character stuff, not so much. No-one's really given any personality, and the plot is as basic as it comes. Still, there are worse things out there.
