The real DezaStar reveal. Ends with me getting spoiled several times by people due to my previous arguments to confirm it.
Neon was my guess as the DezaStar and turns out it was the right one, and that the card was actually Sae finding it, as guessed, though it's due to Chirami setting it up... not her being careless. As expected Chirami wouldn't make it so easy for the DezaStar like giving more chance for their cover to be blown. I guessed it before as I felt that the other Riders are acting in character, but I've felt that Neon's acting a bit OOC, against Keiwa in the first 2 episodes of Divergence DGP (which I wonder if this'd be elaborated too like with the mission cards). Otherwise, Neon seems to be dedicated in completing those DezaStar missions, and at the end she claims she'd not hold back anymore, with similar dark stare Keiwa had at the end of ep. 19, of which previously she'd not compromise her morals to win like not cheating, calling out those who do, or disagreeing with the idea of Rider fighting. So she seems to be ok with the missions that just hinder fellow Riders with seemingly no bad consequences, but wonder if the DezaStar mission will escalate to outright depraved ones. Sae's elimination feels like Ittetsu's a bit IMO, of her realizing that she doesn't need her wish to achieve what she wants, by Neon also giving her something to learn that you only need that genuine love to take care of her family, inspired by Neon preserving the love in other harmonic families. For now Neon's motivation in protecting feels like Takumi's (a̶ ̶w̶o̶l̶f̶.̶.̶), not having dream, but protects the ones in others - replace dream with true love (also shows more that love doesn't mean romantic). I do still think that getting those wish will help them taking care of them better though, as you can have the love but fail (even though the family will still appreciate their efforts). There's something that's left out though for Sae's little suspicion on Neon before in her claiming she puts a friendly facade to not let the cat out of the bag, and how she'd feel now in that about learning her DezaStar status or her actions. Overall Sae is someone who is willing to go great lengths into those she has soft spot for, like her family and Neon, including her sacrificing her DGP chance for Neon even as she learns that she's the true DezaStar, but only them though which shows that willing to go great lengths to certain someone doesn't mean everyone is getting the same treatment or that they have no bad side. But, actually I think there's something probably wrong regarding Sae's elimination. If the eliminated got robbed not only from their memories, but also their desires, that can mean Sae would be robbed from her love for family, in contrast to what she claims of having that or learning? (something that can be speculated about Taira when he's not killed) Michinaga here is him as his nastiest yet, and perhaps this should give a good reminder that Michinaga doesn't only hate Ace, but every Riders. This is prevalent when Lopo genuinely begs him to return his Zombie Buckle to save her family, but he just kicks her away without regard. It's also similar to what happened to Toru, so this cements him as a hypocrite here. So this probably shows that Lopo is weaker than Geats in fighting capabilities, or at least due to not using strategy, to have Buffa winning, or that Buffa exploits Rider's weakpoint here to just take care of their belt. Though as this is apparently Sae's last appearence (with Rina getting flowers), for her rather lacking performance to Buffa before, she makes it up by making use of Feverslot Buckle to get herself Boost, and the first extra Rider to execute a finisher. It's the reason now Boost can headshot Tycoon as Tycoon and Na-Go are awestruck by her last stand? (but they're only watching?) Though at the beginning Keiwa meekly apologizes for forgetting (?) to return Zombie Buckle, and that later Tycoon got his Feverslot Buckle taken, like 'revenge' from what he did before, he's still shown to be not pushover that he tries to keep his Buckle (same like Lopo before), until Lopo attacks him. And this move actually gets Tycoon to suspect Sae as the DezaStar though it's according to her plan. Other than Geats inadvertently triggering Kekera's secret mission for Keiwa with bonus Buckles for both, it's also lucky that the bomb doesn't explode when it got kicked (like a ball) by Geats, so you don't need to shield yourself for the civilians. Tycoon should be relieved if there's others who also save lives in his place, as Geats pointed out, but for opposite this'd be something frustrating for Kekera as he perhaps think only Keiwa is the Rider that will save civilians which'd be a mistake. Ace is being helpful again here in other ways, as he's the one who knows the most about Michinaga being alive, and makes use of that to plan to stop him, using Neon's connections once again to get him introduced to Niram. There's a mystery clash between him and Ace, about their outstanding capabilities in Niram surpassing gods in remaking the world and Ace's undefeated record. Niram can fire Girori without problem, but apparently he's frustrated deal with Jamato sponsors like Beroba. Wonder what's the difference that he can't dispose Beroba easily unlike Girori. Other than that, there's a new big tease in Goddess of Creation which Beroba hunts. So Niram's Gazer (yeah it's translation for Niram's name), and though Gazer has similar design pattern, but in all-majestic white and light motif, it's a different Rider for different DGP position to Glare. Obviously if Glare is leagues above Command Twin Buckle, Gazer will have no problem beating up Jamato Buffa. Gazer also makes use of Dominion Ray, but primarily here as a shield. Niram's realism-obsessed worldview also leads for Michinaga to "prove" himself by cheating death the 2nd time which means he's real instead... kinda similar to the ones who fight others to test their resolve. Buffa manages to save himself with Zombie (living more to its name), so it works more than once, and it can really cause headaches for others with his apparent immortality, for him being listed as one of the Riders to vote. But Beroba lives up to her words, getting Michinaga enlisted in the vote, and going by usual series pattern, the stand-in extra Rider is out when the main Rider returns; Buffa replacing Lopo who is eliminated. So Daichi returns as tan advisor recruited by Beroba. I wonder if Beroba will be able to recruit more Riders, perhaps those she deems fit enough to cause trouble (for her amusement), the opposite of DGP recruiting Riders to save the world. Actually my prediction for Geats before was that there's probably will be faction running other Riders in the future to fight DGP, and it seems to happen, likely would be how Riders like Kanato return. Daichi's other aspect of his personality is revealed here that he too will do anything to achieve what he wants as he said to Michinaga, that's ruthlessness of which Daichi has a good potential to be a next outright villainous Rider, not just a mere smartass douchebag (as the ruthless ones can be still good but anti-heroic instead like Ace at least early or Michinaga).

Well, this episode reveals a lot. First, this is the first time in the show itself that Ace is not from this era, although not categorically.
Secondly, we learn that the "Jamato team" is essentially no different from the leadership of the DGP and, having won, most likely they will simply change roles with them. Thirdly: Gazer's debut and I already want to see how this jerk is defeated. Fourth: Michinaga seems to be now officially immortal, and even dangerously approaching the level of Asakura in his brutality. Looks like he could still be a formidable adversary. Fifth: After the explosion of the apple, it was obvious that Dezastar was not Ace, because he thought about it too often.Another thing is that if the riders find out that they made a mistake again, it will not be difficult to figure out who Sae could leave because of. Or will Neon claim that she felt guilty towards Keiwa? Sixth: Goddess of desire. If this is Ace's mother, it becomes clear why his wish was denied. Still, I preferred that the phrase itself sounded in earlier episodes, albeit briefly, otherwise it seems as if the writers had just invented it. Last edited by Mesnick; 02-05-2023 at 09:44 PM.. |

What will be of Neon's fate as the Dezastar?
Will the trio - Ace, Keiwa & Neon still have a friendship? |

I think the guys are smart enough to understand that this is a game with its own rules. And, given that the dangers lie in wait for them on all sides, quarreling over such nonsense is simply stupid.
Talking about my problems with this show, one of them is that right now there are far more characters that I don't like than those that I like. And even for the latter, it?s impossible to worry, because I really don?t see how not fulfilling their desires will harm them. That is, yes, the cynical Keiwa is an unpleasant type, but he did not bring much tragedy to anyone. |
