Mezco announced a Kaiju Collective line. Their first figure is going to be a 1954 Godzilla with a black and white color scheme.

It?s 8 inches tall and comes with a bunch of accessories. Could be cool?

Mezco is also releasing an Ultraman Figure, so maybe some Ultrakaijus could show up too.

Oh yeah. The December 2023 ship date is almost certainly going to be incorrect.

It also has that seamless body, which Mezco introduced with their Alien figures, and I don’t know if I trust it!

But if you want to throw down a preorder, entertainment earth won’t charge you anything. The other two have a nonrefundable deposit.

Oh yeah, that too. Nothing lasts forever, but seamless-type figures will most certainly not outlive ones with visible articulation cuts.

It's a shame really, Mezco and giant monsters is something I could get behind, I have their King Kong and it is simply amazing. I really like that figure. It puts every MonsterArts-figure I own to shame. Hefty construction, fantastic detail in sculpt and paint (they painted freakin' tiny cavities on the little teeth in the open mouth sculpt) and super fun to handle.

But they never followed that piece up with anything similar. Too bad.

Some of the replies on the tweet announcing it are pretty funny. For some reason people want a color version of the figure, which, uhhhh, what freaking color would it even be?

Then, of course, the true scholars are upset he does not have big googly eyes. Mezco has talked about using some tech that lets you move around the eyeball in the head on their batman 89 figure. Maybe they should implement that here too. Sometimes our boy looked goofy! We must respect this!

I never did get the mezco king kong figure, but I am a big fan of their 1/12 figures with soft goods. I’d be pretty happy with a 1/12 Doctor Serizawa. That would be awesome! I’m trying to imagine if I would prefer a diving suit one with the oxygen destroyer, or a civilian one with the eyepatch and everything.

Oh that King Kong figure is pretty cheap right now. Haha. You kind of sold me on one. I need to research it some more.

I do know they reused the body of that king kong on on OC creature called Mossquatch. But that?s not really a proper Kaiju.

Mixed feelings on this. The seamless body has me worried, but I am excited about the size for these.

Ohhh thanks for posting this. I think I might have seen it before, but I just assumed it was the very big one that costs $450.

If it?s priced similarly to the 1954 one, then I might consider getting this Heisei one too. Hypothetically. In the distant future when this releases.
