I've actually noticed a first in the name. In X Sentai Y, the X has always been 2-4 syllables, but Avatarou is a-ba-ta-ro-u, which is an entire syllable more than the previous maximum!

Donbrothers is the second Sentai to end in "s" since Gobusters, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary while Donbrothers is airing. Maybe an intentional reference?

That might be worth it for the first official male Pink Ranger. There are Pink Riders like Decade, Slash and Revi, so it makes sense to do it eventually. Maybe have a female mentor/robot ally or female sixth to compensate. As long as the characters are likable and have shared focus, I'll give it a chance.

Of course, as others have mentioned, it could merely be that the "tarou" and "brothers" parts of the name are male default terms like "man" that includes the female ranger. If the team are Momotarou-themed, maybe the female ranger could be based on the kibi dango. I think that's right? I'm not too familiar with the legend.

CGI or not, I've been waiting 2 whole years for a new Black Ranger, so I'll take it. I hope the 20s will give Black Rangers more representation than the 10s!

Interesting name, kind of reminds me of Battle Fever J and JakQ.

The Momotaro rumor, I can kind of see for a Sentai, since it's a boy (whom I'd assume to be the Red), a dog, a pheasant, and a monkey, if I remember right.

The Videogame rumor, while the name doesn't quite ring as much to me as a videogame theme, TheJaz has some good theories about the videogame angle and the "Don" part of the name, which I can definitely see.

Going by the name DonBrothers, it might mean that for the mains (I'd assume like a double reds situation or something to that effect), they're brothers like Uchuu Tetsujin Kyodain, or Ultraman R/B, with the other members being "different," whether they're non human, or just different suits aesthetically. At least, that's one way they could go, but I'm really curious and interested in what this team could be like.

Apparently the kanji for "Ava" in the title means violent, and like mentioned before "tarou" is usually at the end of a boy's name

So the full name of the series could potentially mean something like:

Violent-Boy Sentai Big-Impact Brothers
or
Violent-Boy Sentai Explosive Brothers

It also might not mean that depending mostly on what the "Don" part is supposed to mean exactly (like if it's a mafia thing for example then this is wrong lol), and "Avataro" could definitely be a pun on "Avatar", and there could always be some puns that haven't been picked up on at all yet

For example, DonBrothers (DonBurazasu) could totally be a play on Donburi. "Don" is also a Japanese onomatopoeia for something with dramatic or physical impact (the One Piece manga uses it almost all the time).

Avataro might just be a fusion of Avatar and Momotaro, and Donbrothers comes from donbrako which is the sound Momotaro's peach makes when it lands in the river and Brothers might be used because of Smash Brothers being popular.

I agree with you, like I said I think it's likely a pun on avatar, but my understanding is that the Kanji used for "Ava" means "violent", if it was the word "Avatar" only, then the "ava" part would usually be in katakana
