This should be in the Godzilla discussion. Secondly, this is not going to happen as not all Godzilla movies have been released subbed. Third, there is no such thing as a collection because the movies are split up among different companies.
Here is what is available on BD: Godzilla - 54 - Criterion King Kong vs Godzilla - 62 - Universal (English only) Ebirah, Horror of the Deep - 66 - Kraken Rising Destroy All Monsters - 68 - Media Blasters (being reissued in July) Godzilla vs Hedorah - 71 - Kraken Rising Godzilla vs Gigan - 72 - Kraken Rising Godzilla vs Megalong - 73 - Media Blasters in July Godzilla vs Biollante - 89 - Echo Bridge Godzilla vs King Ghidorah/Godzilla vs Mothra - 91/92 - Sony Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla II/Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla - 93/94 - Sony Godzilla vs Destoroyah/Godzilla vs Megaguirus - 95/00 - Sony Godzilla Tokyo SOS/Godzilla Final Wars - 03/04 - Sony Classic Media released Godzilla Raids Again (55), Mothra vs Godzilla (64), Ghidorah The Three Headed Monster (64), Invasion of Astro-Monster (65), All Monsters Attack (69), and Terror of MechaGodzilla (75) on DVD while Sony also released Son of Godzilla (67), Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla (74), Godzilla 2000 (99), GMK (01), and Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla (02) on DVD ten years ago. The only movie that has never been released on DVD or BD in the US is Godzilla (84) or even its US dubbed version Godzilla 1985. |

Does anyone know the politics of why some of the movies have not been rereleased while others are?
I know Godzilla 1985, which I really want, may be a problem cause of the US ties, but I'm surprised the original 74 Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla is not on DVD while Terror of Mechagodzilla is. I never liked Son of Godzilla(not on DVD), but at lease that one is an original movie compared to Godzilla's Revenge, with retread footage, which was released on DVD. |

Sony did release Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla '74 on DVD a decade ago, but they no longer have the rights to the movie. Son of Godzilla and GVMG '74 are likely still own by Toho. Also some of the Godzilla movies on home video in the US do have dubtitles. From what I've been told that the Sony blu-rays have dubtitles then subs that follow the Japanese scripts.

Some of the Sony BDs are dubtitles, some are subtitles. It is really weird.
Apparently, MechaG74 and Son have been licensed by someone recently who has never done Godzilla movies before. |

So releases if those 2 might happen soon?
Really hoping for 1985 to get released someday, somehow! I see there are those non-region DVD's you can get, but I don't think they work on North America players? |

From what it seems like, 85/84 is owned by some small division of WB but they don't want anything to do with the movie.

There's some website where you can buy fansubbed versions of every Godzilla movie (as well as other non-Godzilla toho movies, such as The Mysterians and Frankenstein Conquers the World) but I can't, for the life of me, remember the name. Something about a gorilla, I think

But those are bootlegs. There is no excuse to buy bootlegs when nearly all of the movies are out officially subbed and out on DVD/BD.
