Alas, the last haul of the year
Guille is another home run from Jada Toys. Extremely fun to pose, especially benefitting from a costume that won't hinder the articulation at all. Chun-Li is almost just as good, but looses points for the heads being too loose on the pegs. TVC Master Sol is another solid figure, just wish the grip on the lightsaber was better. But I won't complain about having more Jedi figures --- And that's the year! I don't know if I'll have time to make a Best Of 2024 list, but hopefully you guys enjoyed my little reviews and pics all these months. Until next time !

I don’t post in these threads anymore, not because I don’t buy stuff (it’s the opposite actually) but I just got bored taking pictures of hauls.
But this I want to share, these are special to me. I fell in love with Patlabor about 5 years ago, but at the time getting my hands on physical copies of anything was impossible. We had a release of the movies in Germany in the past which by that time were entirely unobtainable, and the US of A was getting a beautiful complete boxset of anything Patlabor which was awesome but of no use to me because region codes. So I watched what I could via VPN on random international streaming services instead, massively enjoyed it, but still wanted to have at least movies 1+2 in my collection because I like those the most. And lo and behold, after checking for years, finally a new release via the United Kingdom. I finally have them. I can’t wait to watch these again during the holidays. |

Christmas haul! Half are gifts from friends, the other half are pre-orders that came in.
Manipple Studio SHF No Way Home Tobey Head: Another wonderful headsculpt by this studio. With both this and the Andrew head they made, I've decided that the SHF NWH figures will be unmasked in my collection, and I'll use the MAFEX figures for display with the masks on. MAFEX Zoffy and Carnage: Zoffy is just kind of a neat little extra to have. Whereas Carnage is all around excellent other than the open mouth head. I get what they were going for, but I really don't like the mouth just being painted on. Maybe I'll get a custom head to replace it with someday. Figma Gridman Universe Fighter: Funny that the US got this figure before we got the movie itself. Blu-Rays!: Discotek has been doing great on keeping up with the Toku releases. And them doing the blu-ray of the live-action Dororo was a wonderful surprise. Meanwhile Blazar is the next step in me stanning the gray ultras. As for The Wild Robot, it was easily my favorite movie I saw this year, so I had to get it. Figma Kazuma Kiryu: This is a figure that I'd been trying to track down for a decent price for a long time, and while this one was still very expensive, it was the lowest I'd found like, ever. So I said screw it and made it my Christmas present to myself. The figure itself is very dated, but I'm still happy to have it. McFarlane Toys Call of Duty Spawn Figures: I don't really care for CoD, but I do love me some Spawn, and these figures all around are decent. No One and This Land is Our Land: These were actually gifts from our very own Kamen Rider Die! He knows I love me some Blue Beetle, and that I've been keeping up with the Massive-Verse, so these were nice of him to send to me. SHF Super 17 and Demoniacal Fit Untamed Power: Super 17 is an all around just alright figure. I mainly got him because he's my favorite character in GT(don't judge me). The 3rd Party SS4 Goku, however, was surprising. DF does good stuff nowadays, but this one wasn't just a reissue with some extras accessories like they normally do. They actually did modify the original mold somewhat. Some changes I like for the better, some I don't. I feel like the optimal SHF SS4 Goku figure is like a frankenstein of both this and the original release. But hey, if nothing else, this one actually has better QC than the official release does. Though I would suggest being careful when articulating the head. The neck peg is rather thin and I'm afraid is might break one day. SHF Cure Peace: Another figure that's rather old and very hard to find. But it's my favorite character from Smile Pretty Cure, so I was very happy when a friend of mine got this for me. Digimon Movies: I now have most of my favorite Digimon movies. All we need is for Discotek to give us Tamers and Runaway Locomon, and I'll be more than happy with the Digimon blu-rays that I have.
