This might've been discussed already, but I've been catching up on Gotchard in-between episodes of Gavv, and I've been really impressed by the visual storytelling in the Malgams' designs. The monsters in so many other seasons, despite having different aesthetics, all follow the same basic design pattern of "humanoid version of whatever their theme is." For example, most animal-themed monsters, from the Shocker cyborgs to the few animal-themed Jyamato, all have the animal's head for a head, the animal's forelimbs for arms, etc. etc.

But the Malgams are different. The Chemies they're themed on are attached to them in painful-looking contortions, tied in place with strips of the base body, and with the base body's extra arms either holding the Chemy or restrained in uncomfortable-looking positions themselves. Even when they do have the Chemy's head for a head or its forelimb for an arm, it's always twisted or tied somehow.

I just think the designer (Takato Yamashita, according to the wiki) did a really brilliant job visually showing that the Malgams are combinations of two separate beings, and furthermore, that there's something deeply wrong about them.

If Shouma can generate Gochizo from snacks, what's gonna happen if he eats a Helheim fruit? Would he turn into an Inves-human-Granute hybrid or something? Would a Lockseed pop out? What on earth is considered a snack anyway?

I?m going to give the show the benefit of the doubt that there?s a scientific explanation behind how Shouma?s digestive system works here and guess that it has to with the amount of processing that a food goes through. He seems to be able to fully digest meat, grain, and vegetables, but more highly processed foods seem to have elements that can?t be absorbed and are excreted in the form of Gochizos.

By that logic then all Shouma needs to do to get stronger is to go to America and eat a bunch of stuff. The amount of Gochizos he'd produce would be enough to let him take on the entire Granute World lol.

By the way, I wonder if wagarashi-based gochizo will appear in the show. It’s just that so far all the existing and future gochizo are based on factory sweets and among them there are no desserts created from home and/or cafes. Considering the activities of the Stomatch family, it is possible that they initially add an element to the sweets that provokes the production of gochizo in Shoma. Remembering the words of the unlucky robber Sujimoto about the fact that sweets should be eaten in a special mood, perhaps in ordinary people these additives can cause a stronger euphoria from sweets, which, in turn, makes them potential victims of Granuts.

A wagashi form or rider is something I have been hoping for ever since the show was announced. It would be a waste not to do either one.
(Just wanted to point out a correction, wagarashi is Japanese for mustard powder. )

Not sure if this belongs here, but the "General Tokusatsu Thoughts" thread has seemingly vanished.

Apparently there's a new Armor Hero show in the works:

The Transformation device looks... extremely familiar, as well as the collectables that go with it. The person who posted this apparently found this stuff on Bilibili, so I'm gonna go deep diving and see what else might be there

Cool, even if this show most likely won`t get translated. The transformation device really looks like someone decided to combine their favorite parts from the late Heisei riders, but the result is still gorgeous.
