There's no particularly convenient place to discuss these, and they seem to be gaining a lot more traction and a little bit more popularity recently; so hey, why not!
Figure-Rise Standard is a model kit series that among it other lines such as DBZ, Gundam and a couple Ultraman figures; has their own line of Kamen Rider figures and has only made more and more as time has gone on. While these are model kits and hence their quality and heft is far below your usual action figure, a big draw of these is that they are 1/12 (6') scale figures that come with many accessories and even without paint, are extremely well-detailed and coloured -- and at a relatively small price point with each hovering around 3000 yen. This makes them very attractive alternatives for some to their respective SHFs, which are very expensive at retail and only get more expensive on the aftermarket. The line started out as Figure-Rise 6 a few years back with just Faiz, Kabuto and a couple recolours in Faiz Accel and Dark Kabuto. Around 2017 the line rebranded itself as 'Figure-Rise Standard' and released updated versions of Kabuto and Faiz alongside Build. Since then the line's focus has been on the main Heisei Riders with recent releases including Kuuga and Den-O, though they've also branched out into Premium Bandai-exclusive recolours such as Kuuga Amazing Mighty and Genm! So... yeah! Throw in your own thoughts on the line if you like. Are they satisfying figures to you? Has anyone got them in lieu of the SHFs? Is there anyone you'd like to see next?

It really bums me out that Build is not the same scale as all the others. He is slightly smaler than the others. Build was the first release in the re-invented line and it shows.
As someone who mostly poses a figure once and then puts it on display, the figure-rise line is my preferred option over the Figuarts. Being able to paint them is a bonus too! I look forward to seeing all 20 main riders (and maybe some Showa). And because Build is a favorite of mine, I hope he is revisited. |

They're good kits. If the Seihous are too expensive for anyone who wants them, the Figure-Rise line actually does make a good alternative.

Here are some photos of my completed kits.
Kabuto and Faiz are simply amazing. With a little paint detail, they look incredible for their cost. Very posable! All the currently released kits except Kuuga because of COVID delays A few notes: Zi-O's joints are not the best. They look good but they have the lowest articulation. Ex-Aid is excellent with great use of clear parts. You're gonna want to paint him though. W's green color is not my favorite. I also think his proportions are a little off (likely due to his splitting gimmick). He feels bigger and wider than the rest. |

Nice job painting those up dude!
Also on the note of W, were I to ever decide to get figures of him, I actually would opt for the kits over the Seihous, since the Kits actually support the swap gimmick(plus it'd be the only way to get my favorite combos). |

I've been so tempted to get some, notably Kabuto, Faiz, and upcoming Hibiki. I just worry...they're decently taller than my Figuarts, would it look weird?
Even if they are taller though, I NEED Joker. |

They are slightly taller, so having them vanilla-pose side-by-side won't work too well, but dynamic poses are no problem.

Hmmm. May need to give one a try. Thanks!
Would you recommend Faiz or Kabuto to start with? |

Below is a comparison of Figure-Rise Ex-Aid; OOO Combo Change Shauta; SHF Seihou Shinkocchou OOO TaToBa; and SHF Build RabbitRabbit. As you can see, Ex-Aid is just very slightly taller and looks a little odd if you look at it too long; but ultimately it's not too bad. How awkward it is will definitely depend on who you display with who and how much the knees are bent and etc, but it's workable! ... buuuut, as said above; if you're more into dynamic posing than just having them stand their full height, then it's hardly an issue at all! Here's my little Heisei Generations Final storming-Foundation-X squad, and the size differences are completely irrelevant for what I'm going for in the poses. If this is your sort of thing, I'd say go for it! Also, did not expect this thread to take off as much as it did! Thank you especially to ShiShi for your amazing pictures as usual; love the paint apps!
