Well, I powered through the three new episodes Tuesday night, and they weren't terrible. In fact, they hint at new details in the future.
First off, the first new episode "Cut Off" debuts Fortress Formation in fighting Roostafa! Not much else to say there, though I am mildly surprised to see a pay phone gag in 2021! The second episode, "Phoning Home", is definitely amusing cause it introduces Slyther, the adaptation of Wizeru, who is a shape-shifter and so good at it that he mimics Roostafa and grows giant only to have his mind wiped from the battle! Campbell Cooley is at the top of his game here! The third episode, "McScary Manor", feels like it's inspired by a number of different paranormal shows/movies and the mysteries which surround them. It centers on Amelia and her grandfather, Pop-Pop, who really has some interesting character development despite only being a Ranger relative! It's revealed that Pop-Pop raised Amelia after her parents mysteriously disappeared while also revealing that he worked at Area 62 where he saw a bunch of "top secret" stuff! Oh, we also see the debut of Dimevolcano as the Dimetro Blazing Zord and the T-Rex Blazing Megazord in the battle with Tombtress! I have a nagging feeling that this one is meant to be the standard Halloween episode, but no promises. Either way, I think you'll get something out of them if you give 'em a chance! |

This is probably the only real discussion thread for this topic, but very few are even interested or have anything to say about it. The franchise is in a lull and needs to do something BIG to pull it out of that lull! A few new episodes aren't it. It's also possible that some don't have regular access to Netflix right now.

Oh I watched it.
I was just waiting for more people to start talking since I'm just a shy-ish person for the most part. I thought the new episodes were neat, not much to really say. Probably the most stand out part I remember was giving the Pink Ranger the first big power-up armor since I'm pretty sure she never wore that in the Sentai. |

My guess is most people interested in power rangers moved to more specific forums like rangerboard for talking about it? I never see PR stuff discussed outside of LC

What do you guys think about Slyther and his memory loss-induced friendship with Mucus? Do you think he'll eventually remember, but the friendship will stick due to him becoming genuinely fond of Mucus?

I have Netflix on my I Pad which I will be keeping this active.
Beast Morphers and Dino Fury are partly why I signed up for Netflix. That said I watched the 1st half of the year and I was pretty impressed with it so far. Like Dino Charge before it and Ninja Steel , Dino Fury had a strong origional story to back it. The Rangers have been pretty strong too this series. Kira Mage Green is also a track diva which I noticed. It's kind of cool to see this in Power Rangers. I was wondering how they were going to handle the Minisaur bit in this series which in Ryu Soul they were created using people's life force. The Sporix twist is a nice change up from that.
