Despite the epic narrative of King-Ohger, Boonboomger is now my favorite Reiwa sentai.

According to the latest episode: the final battle turned out to be quite spectacular, with the support of civilians, broadcast to the whole world and the expected revival. But it is all the more interesting that the authors did not get carried away by this and the battle was quite short, and its ending, I would say, was bittersweet. The heroes recognize that defeating Spinder is only a tiny step, essentially unable to change the injustice of the universe. Another thing is that they are not going to stop. The ending where Boonbumger finally gets to the BBG made me smile. If there is anything to criticize, then the discussion during the fight between Chashiro and Granz Rizk seemed to me too far-fetched. In his time, Fourze handled this kind of secondary conflict better. Perhaps he should have paid more attention to the consigliere earlier in the show. But these are minor things, but the ending is excellent.

The fantasy world is exciting and impressive, but you can't stay there forever. Epic battles and court intrigue will wear you out. The crown crushes your head, and your body goes numb from sitting on the royal throne all the time. So one day, tired of it all, you leave your palace, get into a cool sports car and set off on a journey to the roar of the engine.
This is not the first such journey. The first one was a long time ago, back at school, right after I got my driving licence. Back then, cars were not so important, everything around you seemed magical and you had good friends, talented and honest. That journey was the first time you realised the difference between good, evil and everything in between, and the value of redemption and second chances. ![]() The second journey was in the middle of my tumultuous adolescence. It was crazy, hectic and incredibly fun. Your friends back then were the biggest troublemakers you could meet outside of Akihabara, but you had a great time together. And on this trip you also learned to drive better and discovered the true power of emotion. ![]() There was another trip, much quieter this time. On this trip you got to know cars even better. What's more, you've started to see them as living things. Now they are not just a means of transport for you, but friends, the same protagonists as the people around you. And you will keep this memory in your heart forever. ![]() But it's time to leave the abyss of memories and return to reality. This journey includes everything you have learned on the previous ones, but it is radically different. You are now an adult and busy with business, namely delivery. Your friends are now mainly colleagues who have their own lives, which do not always revolve around cars, deliveries and your dreams and interests. Sometimes it's hard to be around them, and sometimes they ruin everything. But that doesn't mean you can't have fun together. Especially when the cars are cool, the adventures are exciting and fun, and you might run into old friends along the way, both expected and unexpected. So let the engine roar and the sports car speed through space! And now, metaphors aside, I would like to ask you to remember your first feelings when we returned from the CGI fantasy to modern Tokyo last year. It was as if the cardboard backdrop of the labyrinth had fallen away and you appreciated the vastness of familiar places for the first time. It's probably forgotten now, but I'd ask you to remember that pleasant feeling. But what struck me most about the Boonboomgers was the sound. It's rich, vibrant and piercing through the screen. The drone of morphers and engines, the roar of gunfire. It's a sound you don't hear even in expensive blockbusters. Maybe I'm overpraising, but these are my impressions. I liked the characters. I understand the reasons why each of the main characters can be annoying, but for me personally, none of them crossed the line between cute eccentric and annoying idiot. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed some drama with our purple Sixth Senshi, but I liked the cleaners. The villains were good too. Nothing spectacular, but they do a good job. Spinder deserves a place at the top of the final Sentai bosses. You can criticize the series for showing the most interesting villains the least, but I would argue that more screen time would only hurt them. And of course, the Three Goons are the real highlight and main stars of this series. If I had to speculate a bit, I'd say that the main characters are a reference to the previous shows. We have the spy Chashiro and the policeman Joe; Taiya, who is in charge of both cars and rescuers; Genba, an alien, who is also in charge of other means of transport; and Mira, who can easily be written off like all the other Sentai because of her many part-time jobs. And cleaner Sakito is a plot for the future, when the Sentai start to run out of ideas. Okay, this paragraph shouldn't be taken seriously. As I said, it is speculation. Besides, Boonboomgers has a lot in common with KR Drive. These include the theme, the aesthetic solutions, the toy cars and a trio of cute villains who are not perceived as evil at all by the show's finale. But most importantly, both shows were based on very atypical and very successful franchises. At the same time, they themselves tried to shoot in an 'old-fashioned' way, but were forced to introduce new elements in the second half. And although I think Sentai handled it better than Rider (because the traitors in Boonboomgers were suspicious from the beginning, while in Drive some of the twists were too sudden), judging by the indifference of most site users to the series, it hit harder. It's a shame. In conclusion, it's a good show. It has nice, interesting characters, fancy, spectacular fights and the right morals. And even if the middle was a bit long and secondary (two sports episodes are proof of that), the beginning was interesting and the ending was incredibly dramatic and thoughtful. And nobody felt superfluous or unnecessary. But every journey must come to an end. Even when we travel in one round, we can stop at different places. This time we got out of the sports car at the edge of a magical forest inhabited by real and fantastic animals, both living and long extinct. What will our encounter with them be like? P.S. Saiba is a real seventh boonboomger. I hope she gets a costume, at least for the stage show. P.P.S. Itasha's song is fantastic! ![]() |

Thus ends a rather mediocre show.
It wasn't bad, but after Donbrothers and King-Ohger this was way too basic for me to care much. |

1) King-Ohger 2) Zenkaiger 3) Kiramager 4) Donbrothers 5) Boonboomger However, with only 5 entries, this isn't even a harsh thing to say. It has been a competitive era so far and ultimately, I think Boonboomger ended up making too many mistakes to surpass any of them, IMO. The car has succeeded in reaching the destination in a spectacular way, but that car is now a jalopy. The final arc was pretty great, except that Episode 45 spent a lot of time on Taiya's backstory, which could've been shown all the way back in Episode 9 when Shirabe actually asked him about it. Instead, he told her, "I don't know.", which turned out to be a lie. It's a decent enough backstory that makes him sound more sympathetic, so it's a complete mystery to me why Tomioka refused to reveal it until now. Other than that, I appreciate how every character had something important to contribute to the outcome. Taiya fixing up Bundorio, Chassirou exposing Spindo's weakpoint, Mira playing the bait, Jyo being the most wholesome guy ever, Genba saving more Yarucars, Sakito and Byundy killing the Killers and Shirabe arresting Tokoyari and Naito. Speaking of Naito, the show doesn't hide away from his immoral reason for betraying Taiya. He even lied to his nephew. Like, you know you failed as an uncle when your nephew doesn't believe you and starts cheering for your enemies. Sometimes there are just bad humans like Tokoyari and Naito who don't have any noble intentions. It sounds like Naito might've been good at some point, but he became cynical and he more or less admits it. Now I'll just mention some general good points throughout the show that I think made this worth watching. Jyo is a true hero. Genba's thrilling mystery and personal arc. Mira got a few decent focus episodes. Sakito is entertaining. The Go-Onger and Goranger crossovers. Madwrecks and the 3 Losers were memorable. Bundorio being the reliable heart of the team. Yeah, there's a lot of stuff I can praise about it, so I just wish that the rest was up to the same level of quality. Overall, Boonboomger is neither amazing nor terrible for me. Or maybe it's both. Who knows? Well, either way, I don't regret watching it, but I probably won't rewatch it anytime soon. That's just my honest opinion. Thanks for the weird ride, I guess. BTW, if you're observant, then maybe you noticed that I switched Kiramager and Donbrothers. After re-evaluation, I decided that I haven't appreciated Kiramager strongly enough. I think I need to rewatch Kiramager at some point, since my original experience with it was soured by those obvious real life circumstances.

Boy, I've hardly even talked about this show and it's already over!
Well, no time like the present to recount the whole thing as best I can without making this a wall of text, but in the event it does, I'll sum it up in this one sentence: It was a fun ride. It also made me hungry for Curry on an almost weekly basis. Now for all the other nonsense. At first, I thought BoonBoomger was a step down from King-Ohger, being more silly and not as ambitious. Not that there's anything wrong with that, even if I wasn't a particularly big fan of the suits. In the beginning, I genuinely thought this show would have made the Big Bang Grand Prix part of the show as the latter half or something, but instead it went for a bit of a roller coaster. The idea of "taking the handle" being expressed throughout this show felt like the usual stuff with Shounen/Tokusatsu Shows, but as it progressed and we got to the last quarter with the ISP (which I always felt like were going to be villains at some point but relaxed that notion after Shirabe turned over a new leaf, but then circled back after the boss was revealed) basically handing the Earth to the Hashiliens, it put into focus what this show was putting up, and boy did it win me over completely! While not in itself novel, the fact that the story had that overlying layer of corruption, exploitation, and deceit and the overall theme of taking control of your life, was genuinely something that changed my stance on my initial thoughts on the series. And the whole thing was just plain fun. If there's one thing I can say about Sentai, is that they really do a good job of making a fun and enjoyable show, regardless of whether or not they take it seriously. For the cast: Jou is best boy. Easily my favorite, just beating out Sakito, ByoonD and Boondorio, who were all delightfully fun characters. Mira was good, maybe not as good as OniSister from DonBrothers, who start off basically the same, but I do like how the show started and sort of ended with her getting married. Genba was neat, kind of thought they'd go to his planet like I did with the BBG, but I guess that was me thinking they'd pull a King-Ohger with how this show was going. Ishiro was cool, and I must say, his "betrayal" honestly felt in line with how he was presented in how he joined Taiya, where I thought for sure, he might have actually been willing to betray them, but of course I figured he'd turn back by the end, but it felt well played to me at least. Taiya, I feel like there's a lot about him. On one hand, it's nice to see a calm and collected Red every once and a while, but on the other hand, it feels like we don't explore nearly enough about him. He's flipping rich, which made me question how thing would play out when the ISP started acting suspicious, not nearly enough time is spent about his past, and sometimes it's a little too obvious how he'll handle (heh) a situation. Shirabe was one that grew on me a lot as the series went on. Also, the car/racing puns in their names were not lost on me. I absolutely enjoyed the villains this season. The San Seaters were a blast, MadRex was cool, Cannonborg was fun at times, Disrace had some good moments, Grantz, I feel could have done more, and Spindor was not at all what I was expecting whenever he got mentioned, but that didn't stop him from being a dangerously interesting villain to watch. Also, the Automonsters were entertaining to watch as well (the Getta Monster made me laugh every time he appeared). The mechs were pretty cool, 119 was one of my favorite power-ups, but let's not forget the Champion Forms just giving everyone a jacket was a very clever and different take from the norm, but I loved that all the more so! I'm a little torn if I put this over DonBrothers (whose biggest crime was that it had a bunch of lore and worldbuilding it kept teasing but spent a little too much time being silly), or Kiramager (as much as I enjoyed that show, it felt a little generic at times). I'd have to make a ranking of the Reiwa Sentai at some point, but for now, I'm absolutely excited for Gojyuger! Can't wait to see that one.

It’s time for the Boonboomgers to go out with a bang! Wishing you the best of luck on the final lap. I’ll definitely check out your sales thread and support however I can. Every little bit counts, and I hope your efforts pay off big time. Keep pushing, and let’s finish strong! I had a lot of coursework assignments piling up, and I needed a reliable coursework writing service to help me meet my deadlines. That’s when I found this https://academized.com/coursework-writing-service website. Academized team of professional writers handled my coursework with great attention to detail. Can anyone explain to me why Spindo's design very clearly references Michael Jackson? I found it fully puzzling.
