I mean given Tsuburaya only has Ultraman, you can kinda see why.
Like as much fun as it is dunking on Toei all the time. I think people don't realize how different Toei and Tsuburaya are in terms of what they own. Toei is vast, and has a lot of heavy hitters that easily make more revenue overseas than Kamen Rider. Which is probably why they've only been slowly dishing out stuff. Meanwhile Tsuburaya, all they have is Ultraman and what other in house series there are. They nearly went bankrupt like a little bit over a decade ago and only just recently found their footing thanks to dealing with Chaiyo. Of course they're going to go for the only thing that'll net them more money, expanding. |

I was mainly replying to the notion that all of Japan doesn't want to give international fans a legit way to watch their shows a few posts back...

If I recall correctly they were being very careful in that regard, especially in regards to, say, a Hollywood film adaption because they wanted to retain the integrity of Ultraman.

While not an actual adaptation, Ultraman has made their debut in Marvel Comics.

Ryuki! I love this.
Also Geats with a backpack is cool. Riders pulling out devices out of thin air have always made me laugh.
