An obscure entry from the world of tokusatsu, Takara's "Madan Senki Ryukendo" has been selected for the Disney XD network in Malaysia- where the series will be dubbed into English!
Ryukendo will begin airing in Malaysia on November 26th |

I loved Ryukendo but, goddamn that dub. "I promise to do my best to totally defeat these demons"

Ah, my home country Malaysia. Because of you I was exposed to Toku at a young age. I love it when they come up with oddities such as these.

I'm disappointed he hasn't commented in this thread yet
The dub sounds hilarious, but I guess its cool the show is getting some sort of wider exposure. This is the first I've seen of it, and it looks pretty cool.

This looks, uhh, interesting? It certainly pleases me that this being news made those of you who're reading this know of this show's existence, but damn, the dub doesn't sound good. I also can't help but notice the incorrect information from the narration.

Oh yeah believe me, Malaysia was at one time my main source of anything Toku. Fun Fact: I am from Singapore and there will always be this unspoken rivalry between the two states. Our histories, our forms of government, our football....etc etc. Even our Ultramen. Malaysia LOVES Ultraman Taro while Singapore was more or less UltraSeven territory.
I watched Kamen Rider Black and Flashman all dubbed in Bahasa Malaysia...it was rather...engaging. |
