The RKF Zi-O figure went up for preorder about 2 weeks ago. Orders are closed on HLJ by now but I'm sure it'll pop back up.

Wonder how many Riders they'll make Watches for. The Build Riders aren't that surprising and we might get ones for other Ex-Aid guys too but I'd like some previous secondary and extra Riders. Guess we'll find out if someone completely hacks the belt.

First Candy Blog So-Do update is live!
http://bandaicandy.hateblo.jp/entry/zio01 Looks nice. Back to the body+armor format of Ex-aide. Wrists and bonus hands are a big upgrade. |

With Hibiki, Ryuki, and maybe Kabuto as the exception. Though I do expect they'll have some focus on Sasword in Zi-O. Possibly Punch Hopper too. Do expect the same with Chalice as well. Or they may approach that from Blade's angle instead. May have the Missing Ace riders too. Possibly the Kabuto Kabutick. Any series that keeps to under 5 or less riders, is likely to have all done. Some things with too many may not. Like Ryuki with the over 13 riders, may pull it in some. A large chunk will still cameo though even if they don't get turned into Armors for Zi-O or Geiz. |

Just preordered the gashapon Ridewatch Set 02 (Drive, Zi-O, and Geiz).
Should arrive sometime near the end of September. |

AmiAmi has the preorders for Zi-O SO-DO waves 1-4 up (Had to search "soudou" for waves 1-3). Sets are already sold out, but cases are still there. There is a little new info from the listings.
Ride 1, Oct, has 7 types. Ride 2, Oct, has 6 types. Ride 3, Nov, has 8 types. Ride 4, Dec, has 8 types. That's 29 total types for just the first 4 waves. And here I thought Zi-O would be easier with less forms than Build. I don't think it's all forms, but something has to be filling this line. I doubt it's past Riders because ShodoVS is a thing. |

The blog suggests they'll mostly be in 2-box sets, one featuring the "action body" and the other featuring the armor. Ex-Aid was a many-Riders show, but Zi-O has just the two starting Riders. I could see a few different scenarios: 1. The line focuses mostly on Zi-O and Geiz, and we get a TON of action bodies for those two characters. 2. We don't get a ton of their action bodies (although I'd expect extensive Armor Time sets,) and instead, the line delves into prior Riders, bringing them up to Bandai Candy's current standards. As you pointed out, I'm dubious about this due to ShodoVS. 3. We don't get a ton of action bodies or prior Riders, and those boxes focus on more Armor Time sets. Come to think of it, I suppose we could see a lot of the kaijin Riders. I'm not sure they'd go that far, though, given the massive amount of new molding that'd be required, and that those designs aren't super-friendly to the candy toy format. The prior couple of SODO lines relied heavily on mold-reuse, which is relatively easy given that Toei tends to share lots of parts like base suits. |

The Bandai Candy Blog updated again, and now, we know how the SO-DO Zi-O line will be handled: It looks like we won't be parts-swapping with the main Zi-O figure. The Build Armor Time has a unique body, and I assume the future ones will, as well. It also probably means that if we get Geiz Build, it'll be two boxes, and won't parts-share with the Zi-O version. I suppose we now know what will make up most of the line.
