How the hell did Mattel license Gorenger toys!? Weren't the original Gorenger toys done by Popy? Did Mattel just create Shogun Warriors in the same manner that Hasbro would ultimately use to create Transformers: Take whatever you find in Japan and rebrand slightly to make it more marketable!?

Got a recent Zyuranger Mook and a couple of the pictures annoyed me cause they detail underutilized elements in good albeit hard-to-locate photos that have no basis to the series proper!
One of which is a small Lami photo which shows that she had a battle mask prop that would shield her upper face...but I have no recollection of it ever being used in the actual series and I genuinely believe that it never was! It simply exists in those aforementioned hard-to-locate promotional photos. What was the potential reason for omitting something so different and unique that it would've potentially changed the dynamic, if only slightly? Seems like such a waste of a good prop. |

Most likely, the people working on the show decided that the actress's attractiveness would be more useful than a unique costume design, so they decided that she would look better with an open face.

This would also apply to "Power Rangers General Questions", but given that the screencaps are sourced from Zyuranger and the possibility that the question might be better answered via the authorial intent of the original monster designer, I'm placing it here.
What is the specific type of instrument that Dora Goblin (Gnarly Gnome in MMPR's "Different Drum") from Zyuranger Ep. 7 uses? It looks like an accordion, but others have referred to it as a concertina. https://sirstack.db-destiny.net/morphylogeny/105.htm Given that most Dora Monsters are rooted in mythology and antiquity, I feel like it could go either way. |

And all these instruments together are called hand harmonicas as opposed to the mouth harmonica, because, despite their very different appearance, both of these types of musical instruments work on the same principle of manipulating air.
