Fariy Tail episodes 42-48
My god. That was a great arc, it gets better everytime! I mean the way Lockses was a dick basically and apperantly he did it just to make the guild stronger?!? Even though he got kicked out, the way everyone gave him a good bye was amazing -sniff sniff- Oh and Gajeel is confusing the helll outta me, first it turns he is working for some Ivan guy Lockses Dad and Mocoraves son... But then he says he is just being a double agent and working for Fairy Tail all along.... Yea Season 2 is gonna be a blast!

Ippo 14.
The rookie tournament begins! It's weird that this show keeps trying to mirror Ippo in his opponents but I must admit, it works a lot better this time than it did with Oda. Seeing Jason and Ippo be goofs together is hilarious, and it's even more so because we know these are both total badasses at the same time. It's kinda sad that you know Jason is going to lose, because of what we've seen of him, he seems like a great character. Still, honestly the match wasn't that exciting, until Ippo had to learn the counterpunch. Ippo literally could not win, so he had to take the hits directly to his face, and try and win out mentally rather than physically. That is pretty fucking awesome, especially considering up to this point, Ippo's only real boxing skill has been how heavy his hits are. Ippo's Mum lets him box, but refuses to go watch? What do you think he does in a boxing ring? Plays monopoly? This isn't the Matrix, of course he's going to get hit! Especially as black people seem to always have super powers in sports anime simply because apparently in these things that is what they're born with.

Ippo 15.
This may not have been the flashiest fight featured in this show - although Ippo's do-or-die victory barrage was AWESOME, it was really cerebral and I digged that. It wasn't a battle of power, or technique, just guts! Just a shame that with the way this show constructs itself, every victory feels so bittersweet.

G Gundam 5-7
Now we find out about Domon's reason for being a Gundam Fighter and damn... really good episode. That backstory explains why he is a cold heartless asshole. Still doesn't rectify him though. And back to an episodic episode. Damn it G Gundam, how about instead of creating a bunch of stupid repetitive episodes, how about you create some good story instead. I think this series might share a lot of the same problems I had with Wing. But LOL, that fight between Spike and Shining gundams in episode 7 was literally Shining Gundam cutting of Spike's arms and go all Shining Finger on Spike. |

Why must we wait so long for Dragonball Z: Battle of Gods Dubbed? The wait is killing me!

Time for my weekly anime pull, starting with... Kyoukai.
This was a great episode! I dunno, I just think this show is really cool. It's really fast paced and seems to have a clear understanding of its mythology, while being well animated and directed enough that it can tell the story visually and never feels the need to dump lengthy amounts of exposition at the audience, it's just awesome. And as it's only scheduled for thirteen episodes, I'm pretty sure they can keep this at eleven the whole time. This really is the perfect length for anime.

Came in here to talk about myself. I'm kinda happy to see it get a second season, if only because I'd like to see more done with the less-important characters now.
