Yeah those joints on the Yoroiden figures were weird! I mean looking back now, I can see how Takara thought that hyping the Jiujutsu aspect of the figures(being samurai after all) would be cool but I think in the end all it did was hinder the articulation! That area is where the Armor Plus line eclipses the original line completely. Even now I would not mind a non-armor removable SH Figuarts line of Yoroiden Troopers! Sad thing is, Yoroiden may not be as popular in Japan. Maybe it's like Voltron where the localized series is actually more popular than the original Japanese release? It's rare but that does happen at times.

Mine are grey weapons. Not sure if there were any blue ones. |

Could be why only Ryo was released en masse and the rest are Web Exclusives?
The figures underneath the armor are nearly completely articulate. Only missing articulation is shoulder outwards articulation (they can only go forward and back) and I guess wrist articulation. Not quite as good as Gridman but their arms arent needed in the combined mode since the arms come from the combining vehicle. Mine are grey weapons. Not sure if there were any blue ones. Yeah that's why I think everyone else was a TamashiiWeb exclusive. Same thing happened to Tekkaman after Blade was released too. Pretty sad. Hmm the Servo I saw must be a repaint in similar colors to the original then because I think it has blue weapons. In combined mode with the dragon and Optimus Prime guy, is all of Servo's articulation retained? Any joints weighed down by the weight?

There were way too many releases of that mold. I know there was a chromed up Servo in same colours as the normal Servos but no clue if that has grey weapons or blue. |

I've seen a listing on eBay for a lot of the 5" or so figures, the ones which came carded. Anyone have any of those? Are they worth picking up?
The lot had most of the heroic robots, plus Kilokhan and a Mega Virus.

If you like the looks go for it. But the only ones really necessary are the DX. The Standard sized Servos looks pretty neat though since it has all modes intact. Just some parts dont transform like the DX.

Be forewarned man, a lot of those have V-crotches! Ruins the look imo.

As amazing as the DX toys were for the time, their major flaw is the articulation *and the looseness of some of the joints) and the design has balancing issues. Fun toys still.
