Below is a list of general site rules. This is a forum where older and younger fans can share their love of this hobby. Just because you don't see a specific rule here doesn't mean it's okay to post. Most boil down to common sense. If you have a question, ask a staff member.
General Rules 1. No Insults, Trolling, Flaming, Name Calling, Harassing, Etc. We will not tolerate insults, excessive profanity or throwing a topic off course. Use of racial or bigoted terms is not accepted. Keep topics/posts where they belong. 2. No Posting Of Porn Or Gore Images This includes any form of nudity or images deemed gross or disgusting. 3. No Discussion On Politics, Religion or Abortion This includes signatures, user titles and avatars. 4. Do Not Sell, Share, Link To, Offer Or Ask For Copyrighted Materials This includes movies, music, games, emulators, ROMs, comics, programs, etc. 5. Only One Username - No Alternate ID's At Tokunation.com we only allow our users one account/one username. If you make multiple usernames you will have ALL your usernames banned. If you'd like a name change, please contact an Administrator. We have the right to refuse name changes for any and no reason. UPDATED APRIL 20th, 2013: Name changes are no longer allowed. 6. No Public Discussion On Staff Actions If you have an issue with a decision a Moderator, Super Moderator, or Administrator has made, please contact another Moderator, Super Moderator, or Administrator to get it resolved. It does not need to be shared on these forums. 7. No Website Advertising We do not allow threads or posts to be advertisements for any website or online store. If you wish to advertise another website or a store, you may do so in your signature, as long as it meets signature guidelines. 8. Do Not Post Things For Banned Members This includes artwork, customs, sales or requests. Once they are banned, they are done with this forum. 9. Do Not Steal Bandwidth Hotlinking to an image on another site could result in your image being replaced by a nasty or pornographic image. Use a photo hosting website. 10. No Spam We do not allow spamming in our general forums. Spam is defined as any post that does not contribute to the thread topic or a conversation within the thread. 11. Do Not Post Private Conversations This includes private messages, instant messages, or E-mails received from another forum member. 12. Keep Off-Site Drama Off This Site Whatever feud or issues that you may have with a person at another website needs to be left at that website. 13. No Disruptive Posting or Flamebaiting Do not purposely post anything which will cause another member (or members) to react negatively. This is subjective. The TokuNation staff will evaluate the trend of posts made by those consistently being reported or those that are repeatedly involved with arguments on the site. If their overall method or content of posting leads to staff attention repeatedly, we reserve the right to warn, infract and/or ban accordingly. 14. Hateful and Bigoted Comments = Zero Tolerance TokuNation.com stands in support of the LGBTQ community, recognizes those who identify as a gender that is not the traditional male/female identification system, and has a zero tolerance policy against any speech, language, comments, or discussion that are hateful or bigoted towards any person whatsoever. A hateful or bigoted comment will result in your immediate ban from TokuNation. Staff will review all reported content and we reserve the right to rule the ban as temporary (7 days) or permanent. Reporting Posts Moderators are only online so much and can only read so many threads at a time. That, and they are regular posters just like you and want to enjoy the forum. There are times when we are going to miss things and that's where you can all assist. At the bottom left corner of every user's post in a thread, there are a few icons. One of them looks like this: By clicking on that icon you will go to a page where you will report the post which creates a private thread in a private forum that all the board's moderators, super moderators, and administrators can read (and receive E-mail alerts to). You have the ability to write in a description of WHY you're reporting a post. While your name is attached to the report, the user you're reporting will never know that you reported them, so there is no fear of any type of retaliation. We hope you will utilize this feature to help us make this board a fun and friendly environment for all Tokusatsu fans. Warnings and Infractions TokuNation.com utilizes a "Warning" and "Infraction" system for handling repeat offenders on rule violations. For first time, minor offense situations, a user will receive a "Warning". The warning does not count as an infraction, but it is noted on your user profile for moderators to see to show that you have received a warning for your actions/behavior on the boards. Once you've received a warning, future violations of a similar nature will result in an infraction. There is a 5 point system utilized for infractions. 3 infraction points = a week temporary ban 5 infraction points = a permanent ban The infraction points are scaled in terms of when they expire - the more frequently you receive them, the longer it's going to take for them to expire. Once the points expire, it's as if you never received the infraction point ... however your user history will still show it, and the moderators will still take in to account your prior infraction history upon your next rule violation. The moderators are trusted to use their best judgement in giving warnings and infractions. If you feel you have been unjustly given an infraction, please contact the next level up to have the issue looked in to. There is no guarantee that you will have the infraction reversed. |
