I am already on my break, after I've played Smash Ultimate for 150 Hours or more

Never thought this would ever happen in a million years. I guess we are now one step closer to having Halo and Gears of War on a Nintendo console next.

Not... Really. At all. Access to the Live SDK to make cross platform play for multiplatform games isn't exactly going down that path.

Okay, my bad because I was unaware of that. I think MS should look into releasing some of their games on the Switch since they are okay with Minecraft being a multiplatform game. The Xbox One is a worthless console in my opinion and games like the Rare Collection, KI 2013, and Sunset Overdrive would make good choices on the Switch.

I finished Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice today. Well, I could’ve finished it two weeks ago but the final boss was beating my ass so badly I stopped playing for a bit
![]() But I did it today, and I love this game. It’s not quite as amazing as Bloodborne IMO but it doesn’t need to be, it's so different from the "usual" From Software games that it can stand on its own. What I loved most about it was how satisfying the combat was, in tandem with the fantastic world you explore and the strange characters you meet. Plus, I was low-key afraid Sekiro would be too easy since I finished Dark Souls I-III plus Bloodborne - nope. This game was harder than all of them. At least for me. But the more you play it, the better you get. It was kinda crazy how I had a hard time against one particular boss, and then said boss returns later with a twist but you realize he isn’t that much of a challenge anymore now that you've figured him out. I will definitely go back and try to get the "good ending" by doing the special side quests, and there’s tons of stuff I’ve never even seen myself which I heard other players encountered, so I do want to go back and maybe play it a bit slower and look for things that I’ve missed. |

Started Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age recently after it came out on Switch, this is my first time . Very different to other Final Fantasies and it shares some design traits with Xenoblade Chronicles... except that I feel like Xenoblade's boss battles are more involved in. I have just got up to the part where you are taken prisoner aboard the Dreadnought and find out that a certain character isn't dead.
Oh, and in spite of Vaan being the main character I've decided my party plans will not include him and will be focused around Balthier who I've controlled when I can.

I forgot to mention it but I did finish my second Sekiro run like two weeks ago, it was great. I actually want to play it a third time now but I think I should take a break before it gets too mundane. It’s still the GOTY for me I think. There’s some promising stuff ahead but matching this caliber of greatness is hard. Like other FromSoft games Sekiro just instantly worked for me.
Anyways, I want to try that Spider-Man game for PS4 next, but my package containing it was stolen so I’m waiting for the replacement now. Kinda ironic that someone would steal a game in order to play as a hero though. |

Well, I was taking a short break but now it looks like I gotta do my umpteenth playthrough of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII after seeing the new Remake trailer.

So Marvel's Spider-Man... damn. I'm really glad I decided to pick this one up, I was really sleeping on it. It’s the best damn comic book inspired videogame I've ever played. Yes, better than the Arkham games.
The story of all things is top-notch, it thwarts every attempt they made to re-imagine Spider-Man through new runs both in book form and in other media over the years, it's insane really. And the stuff they're setting up for the sequel - holy shit. Gameplay is great too, like it's your usual open world shenanigans and it can get a bit repetitive but they crafted the world with so much love for the characters and story its hard not to get invested in it all. I'm not much of a graphics guy so all I can say is they were good, obviously state of the art, and it ran smoothly which is what I care about most. But the sounds, music and voices - man those were great. The VA's especially, they really did something special with the cast. As someone who isn’t all too invested in comic books and their movies these days but loved Spider-Man growing up, this was one hell of an experience. If you have the opportunity to play it, do it. |
