The whole plot of Missing Ace didn't feel right, as Kenzaki's decision in the show was much more in character. Koutarou became a total asshole once he became rich, and it doesn't look like any of the Riders got anything! However,I did laugh when Kenzaki and Mutsuki were stealing from Koutarou's house. The three new Riders didn't seem like very deep characters, just be unfriendly and die, but I did like Glaive's design. Also found it interesting that Glaive and Lance were based on Leangle and Blade, but L'Arc (?) was more of a fusion of Chalice and Garren, not just one.
Blade vs. Blade was just as any Hyper Battle Video, nice to see the show in a more humorous setting. Tachibana and Mutsuki using their weapons and fighting over who helped Kenzaki win was amusing. I liked how they used Koutarou's book to recap the show so far. |

One thing I forgot in my post: it was neat to see the Spade Category Ace. Also somewhat of a how the might have fallen moment that it and Spider Undead where reduced to lackeys for the Albino Joker.

I've always liked Blade. It's quite saddening to see it end, but all good things...

The story was good, I like how it's a Alternative ending, but I just didn't like how the characters turned out well except for Hajime when he got sealed and unsealed. That's part of why it's an alternat. Really didn't like the recast of Amane, but I can see why because it take place 4 years later. But I'm glad at least they had a cameo or flashback of the original girl who played Amane in it.
What I found cool was they had the guitarist from Rider Chips in the movie. He was jamming his guitar in the coffee shop, I guess they had a music night! I'm glad I finally watched this series, I'm excited to see next LWW! Last edited by hellboy18; 01-16-2014 at 01:33 AM.. |

I didn't really care for the movie overall. The fact that it was an alternate ending was pretty disappointing, as I was more interested in seeing what it was like for Kenzaki being an undead. As others have said, the final battle between Blade and Joker at the beginning had a pretty cool setting, but it felt so out of character for Kenzaki to seal Joker.
The best thing about the movie was the first appearance of the three new Riders. While short, I really dug their designs, and especially loved the depiction of them charging up their weapons by swiping through the image of the card. Such a great, dynamic effect! Too bad they couldn't have been more developed, especially the female rider since we rarely see any serious examples of female riders. Overall, Blade was a pretty good series. I really liked the suit designs of the riders and the plot was pretty interesting. The henshin sequences left a lot to be desired, but I guess they couldn't be too fancy with their effects. Glad to have finally watched this series.

Wasn't really a fan of the movie, I just don't really see the point of there being an alternate ending as I really like the one there is. The only things I really liked were the designs of the new riders, and the fight between Blade and Joker at the beginning in the rain.
And I thought Amane was a bitch in the series, that is some serious teenage rebellion... |

The shows ending was much better then the Movie was. Maybe instead of a what if setting, but a story after the events of the show with the four of them coming together to fight the other 3 riders with some struggles between Kenzaki and Hajime because if they get to close they will end up fighting, but they need all four to beat the other 3 cause for some reasone they are stronger then the original in a one v one fight, or something like that

As rider movies go defiantly not the worst I've seen (that honor goes to the den-o Kiva "crossover" movie) but not even close to the best (imo movie war megamax is the best I've seen). I felt the alternate ending to the show was a bit forced and didn't match Kenzaki's character all that well. I hated the new riders and was not at all sad when any of them died, even though their death's didn't make that much sense. The severe character changes of all the leads was not done all that well, however I did like the nod to Kotarou's old character trait of drinking milk. The ending I felt made about as much sense as blades ending (why did Haijime ask Kenzaki to sacrifice himself when it was not only logical he do it, but it's what he ended up doing anyway). I do have to say for all it's faults it was nice seeing the rider's together and fighting again, the fights were very well choreographed here and felt it was a nice way to end the rider's run.
