i dont understand bandai sometimes, i know it's only a 2 episodes for this form but why they didnt they just release this now when the show is running? does that make any sense?
money is motivation from the show previews and in show, releasing it while drive is on the air, it's bad business decision. Gaim products are being reduced by 30%-80% in Brick and mortar stores in Japan. the toyline is considered done and kids are no longer buying the toys. releasing anything right now at mass release would be financial suicide. Webshop items are made to order so they are only really doing this for the hardcore collectors that want every single last lockseed from the series so they are not exactly going to make a loss with it being made to order. |

I'd assume that it's mostly because everything worth getting is already out and probably owned. The last retail release was Kiwami Arms, and that was in July. All that's left are the Web Exclusive sets and I don't know how much interest children would have in them. It was pretty clear that things were winding down as far back as Duke's release since he pretty much came out alone.

By the 35th - 40th episode mark the toyline is starting to end or only has movie stuff left to release. kids have nothing to really look forward to toywise so the stuff already out is forced to be discounted so the next show has plenty of room on the shelves :P also Sentai hurts rider and Rider hurts sentai. Rider sales will dip in Feburary because new Sentai starts and sales start to drift off. Sentai sales will dip in October (used to be September) because the new Rider starts and sales start to drift off. depending on the shows quality of course! |
