Please don't say you think it's a coincidence.

I kinda do. I doubt Bandai of Japan really care that much that it's getting a Western release when this is a Japanese collectors item.

Of course it is. Why on Earth would Bandai Japan care about what a relatively small American DVD company puts out for home video release? In what way would releasing this in the same year as those DVDs benefit them? How could it possibly? Look at how the Doron Changer is being released.
This is a Japanese collectors item limited to 6000 pieces sold exclusively through a Japanese language only website intended for, you guessed it, the Japanese market. If this was aimed at other markets at all in any sort of international sense, then it would have been some kind of retail release item. But as is this is a high end, limited production run, Japanese market exclusive. There is no correlation between that and a DVD release here because the entire point of the distribution method for the Changer, is that it's scope is entirely limited to a Japanese audience.

Of course they're not. Why would they do a Legacy item for something that was never even in Power Rangers?

Are there any sites accepting pre-orders for this? I'm not aware of anywhere that offers premium items for sale other than eBay.

Huh, strange choice which I am not mad at.
It feels like it should have come out two years ago as an anniversary piece. Eh, anyways looks nice. Hope this catches on.
