It's going to be another expensive year for Toei, possibly more so since Rider's celebrating it's 50th in the same year.

Would be neat to get some more android or cyborg rangers.
Maybe even do a full blown crossover with some metal heroes like Gokaiger did with Gavan.

Let's remember that even if this is the official trademark, both Ryusoulger and Kiramager ended up being translated into different things than initially thought. Ryusoulger not as far from the tree as Kiramager (which I recall seeing a translation involving Demons, Machines and Magic).

Since "Kikai" is a significant element here, I'm thinking of Kikaider and Kamen Rider Kikai (for obvious reasons).

I'm also realizing something else...2021 will also be the 10th Anniversary of Gokaiger!

I see Toei planning something BIG (assuming COVID didn't force some necessary and pragmatic changes)!

Zenkai does primarily mean to go all out and knowing that a machine theme is gonna be involved maybe we will get a gimmick-heavy year for 2021. We could get keys or batteries again maybe or if they wanna try something new, key cards that activate the gimmicks when in very close proximity to the toys. Of course, we will have to wait at least 4 more months roughly but with a name like Zenkaiger I am expecting Toei and Bandai to go big.
As for the rangers I see a few possibilities, they could be either:
a. They are all humans who just happen to use machine-themed powers
b. They are all cyborgs or robots
c. Red ranger is either the sole human or cyborg/robot of the team

Suppose they do key cards, my question is do they go Gokaiger and have ranger cards or just a deck of temporary superpowers like Kyoryuger and Ryusoulger. It is an anniversary year so a Gokaiger 2.0 is possible as well, meaning they could be a team that utilizes past ranger powers. And I bet they would call them Zencards(zenkai+cards) because these type of shows always have a surplus of wordplay.

Another gimmick I see that could be a thing is the windup toy, a classic toy gimmick.

But realistically, I think Gokaiger was one of a kind. They didn't do anything major for the 25th season, right? And I would have expected big numbers to be the 25th, 50th, 100th - or at least 30th, 40th, 50th, etc. so 35 being such a huge anniversary year was a surprise. And honestly, nothing will top ranger keys. They should just make some more ranger keys; fill in the teams we didn't get keys for and maybe give us some DX of some of the gashapon releases - regardless of what Zenkaiger is about.

25 was Gaoranger, and the biggest thing then was a franchise retrospective at the end of Timeranger and then the Anniversary Crossover that we know as Gaoranger VS. Super Sentai!

Even if 45 refuses to pull a Gokaiger, we need something a little more than a single movie!
