My thing about the Swede thing being unlikely is like....it just seems like a really weird thing to pull from? Even if they're only pulling the bare minimum from it (a Viking theme, maybe some names are taken from other clans) are kids really into that kind of thing? I'd feel like they'd be represented in some kind of way in some other piece of childrens' media at least once prior, like a lot of reoccurring themes in Sentai/Rider are. If they are to go deeper and are explicitly pulling from Beowulf...wouldn't some kind of familiarity with the tale (like with Donbrothers) be preferred? I doubt a lot of children know of it. That's just my two cents, of course.

My Money is on Beowulf/Viking theme, or alternatively that's a total coincidence and this will be a music rider and the name means "Great Beats" or smth goofy like that

If be interested in any of those themes tbh lol

This is a TERRIBLE name. It sounds absolutely UNCOOL AF, honestly. I rarely make mention of names, Revice was tolerable, but this name kinda sucks.
Methinks I am getting burnt-out on Kamen Rider.

I mean, we've had Riders based off of Norse mythology before, not to mention that the toys could reflect something else kids like

If the main rider will have some similarities to Beowulf, will we get a dark rider based after Grendel too?

I do agree I can't think of any big Viking media in Japan... Closest I can think of is that One Piece has some Viking inspired characters? One Piece is Toei for the anime and Bandai for the toys so I suppose if the episodes with those characters do noticeably well, or they have figures that sell well that could have influenced a decision like this?

We also know Toei does a lot of focus group research with kids so possible that for some reason we're unaware of kids are super into Vikings rn lol

Recently we did have Valkyrie which is Norse themed, so maybe there is some interest in Japan for Scandanavian themed things???

Thor 4 is coming out soon? I know marvel is popular in Japan so maybe they wanna ride the potential wave off of that?

I guess my point is who know's what toei is thinking, these people gave us fruit warriors and a phone shark, they do weird stuff lol, its hard to know what they're basing their decisions on a lot of the time, and idk what's big with little kids in Japan rn, possible there's something we're not seeing

Still tho I wouldn't be shocked if this is just a coincidence and this is a pun on smth totally unrelated... it's a "we won't know until we know" situation I guess lol

Geats is pretty goofy sounding to me as an English speaker, but I think a Beowulf themed Rider sounds really cool if they wanted to go that route! It seems just as likely it is some strange mishmash of words too though.

Japan does like shoving the concept/imagery of the Yggdrasil Tree into almost any game or anime that's fantasy related. There was also that Vinland Saga anime that came out a few years ago... Maybe Toei thinks they can strike a profit by digging deeper and trying something else connected to Norse mythology?

My next guess is it's another portmanteau, or maybe even an anagram of something? Gates (no wait, they did that already)? Stage? Getas?

Honestly I'm sorta impressed by the name because outside of the literal definition, I'm completely lost on what this could be. All I know for sure at this point is that when the design gets officially revealed, my response is going to be "Yep, he definitely looks like a Geats."
