This set's an immediately buy whenever they decide to announce and release it.
I adore Shin. I really enjoyed J and ZO. And I'm very interested in seeing what The First and The Next did. Having the chance to own them all subbed? Absolutely. |
It appears obvious that the distribution of Rider is now dependent on who is willing to make the better deal first! SHOUT! hasn't abandoned the plan, but others like TOKUHD are willing to scoop in if they don't move quick enough or don't make the right offer. Still confusing as Toei uploaded all three to YT long before this broke, so could Media Blaster try to release more material that was already self-released by Toei already? Is Rider Distribution prompting a potential "Bidding War" between multiple players?

Very excited for this set. Loved The First and J, and will be happy to own the rest.

I mean, it makes perfect sense for Media Blasters to snatch these films up. Not only did they previously release Kamen Rider The First on DVD many years ago but they also have the current rights to Hakaider, which capped out Keita Amemiya's trilogy of Super Hero Fair films. And if you get ZO, J, and The First, then you might as well get The Next and Shin if they're being offered.

I would definitely buy a blu-ray set of these films. Consider my interest piqued. |
That seems interesting. All 3 of the 90s films had their pros and cons for me (I still haven't got round to the First or the Next!), plus if someone only knew about Power Rangers they wouldn't be quite so used to seeing the henshin hero subgenre in movie form so that's cool! Although technically Toei has put the 90s movies on YouTube but it's always nice to have a proper DVD!

If they could include SD and World I would be even more ecstatic; but even as-is this is amazing and an insta-buy. Anything else at this point is gravy!
|
I wish Arrow got the rights to the 90s Kamen Rider movies instead. They would be releasing it for the European market, and they have more bonus content on their discs. Not to mention, they are less sloopy with their discs.
