Full Zenkaiger Concepts leaked
|
Ooh okay, I'm reminded heavily of GaoGaiGar with the combining aspects.
|
Parallel worlds...? I have mixed feelings about this, but then again parallel worlds appeared before in Sentai (*cough*Go-Onger*cough*) so, okay then, sure.
|
im sorry im passing on this, not having human forms takes the joy out of this series,
i mean if it was a buddyroid situation or an cyborg/human then i would probably get on board with it, the human characters are the attraction to sentai. |
So there robot zords. Then zords then a newer zord then megazords. Hmm. I Like it. I would like to see this as a ranger season. May be have J.J. as the one Ranger?
|
I like everything about this except the super dumb looking transformation gun. That thing is all around awful IMO.
|
I love the fully-robotic members and how the sentai mecha-themed forms are actually their sentai forms and not traditional suits. It's so different. Same with their "untransformed" versions, they have a lot of character to the designs.
Plus symmetrical docking AND the fact that they can all do it with one another is an instant sell, I love it. |
I'm seeing a lot of similarities to other shows that Komura worked on:
Gaon thinks humans are part of animal-kind. Vroon likes learning and maybe reads books. (Zyuohger) Gaon is skilled at cooking. (LupinPatren) Kaito's parents disappearing after discovering parallel worlds. (BIMA-X) Zyuran sounds like Shou from Kyuranger and Magine sounds pretty unique with her interest in magic and fantasy. |

I like the untransformed designs. If we get Yu-Do of those, I'm 100% going after them.

So it's confirmed that we're not getting human actors for four members of the team? That's a little weird and I do find it a bit disconcerting. The closest thing we had to that is Kyuranger where about half the team were aliens with full-on costumes.
I suppose there may still be a chance that we'll see the voice actors in human forms, like how Candellia from Kyoryuger's voice actor showed up in her human form in a few episodes. They could explain it by using a special gear, probably number 40-Zyuohger since four members were Zyuhumans who were always in disguise. |
Maybe the sixth ranger will be a female human and male Kikainoid duo to compensate for the lack of humans in the core 5.

So chances are, with the rumors, he won't ever see this show. |

I like what I seeing in there civilian forms it less bulky and more human like. Now I want to see how they are in action still don’t like zenkaiger helmet does nothing for me. |
This is awesome, as a mecha fan! All probably boils down to COVID restrictions. The lead is human while it excuses the rest of the rangers to keep their helmets on.
The bird is obviously a homage to Variblune...might even become a vehicle at some point. |

I'm loving this, and I need to keep hype low. Don't want this to be Kyuranger 2.0 where I hyped the shit and was disappointed.

Honestly, I would have reversed the the civilian and "ranger" forms for the bots. The civilian forms make more sense to me to be the Ranger forms because they're more streamlined and would be easier for combat scenarios. But then again, mech fights are a thing. *makes weighing motion*

I suspect Secchan is a deliberate nod to Navi. The design of the Geartlinger recalls Go-Onger's Speedor. I'm curious to see whether it'll have a more direct Go-Onger connection; maybe a guest appearance by Go-On Red in the first episode? They got him to return in Strongest Battle, so it seems plausible.
Green keeps popping up in the designs of Secchan and ZenKaiser alongside the colors of the team members, leading me to suspect our sixth hero will be green. From the look of ZenkaiMagine here, I get a better sense of how the toys will work than I did with the actual suit shots. Magine's feet clearly snap together to form a dragon head. The mechanism for how they split still eludes me, but Magine makes me think it's actually back-to-front. The combined forms make it clear there's at least a little parts-forming, as part of Vroom is attached to the opposite leg. (Maybe they're planning on quite a lot of parts-forming, since I gather the Ryusoulger mecha did well, although that success was probably more about the modularity. I also suspect the toy designers wanted another crack at the "mouth opens to reveal a head" thing from Kishiryu Neptune.) There's nothing in these that suggest how a four-way combination would work. I wonder if the fangy inner thighs of the Gaon/Zyuran combination will translate to a potentially-hilarious attack on the show. The alternate forms for the mecha are interesting. Red and yellow look great as a combined mecha, look decent enough in their individual mecha forms, and the good stuff all seems to have come at the cost of good-looking animal forms. That is the worst toku lion I've seen, and yes, I'm including Cube Lion. The combined form of pink and blue doesn't look nearly as appealing as red/yellow, but their other forms are pretty good. (Well, Magine's robot form is... just a lot of stuff going on at once.) The pre-transformation robots are fine, and clearly give Bandai more stuff to market. Magine's... I mean, the design is cute, but it's a little too stereotype-hyperfeminine for me. I continue to suspect that the need for masks had a profound impact on the choices made for this season. The Geartlinger looks like it might separate into two devices; I think it has a split-in-half thing going on. Then again, I could be wrong, and it's just reconfigurable into a sword because that's how toku works. I am SO eager to see the mechanics of how the mecha toys work, now! It doesn't look nearly as simple as other mecha of recent year, and I consider that a good thing. |
Yup, Zenkaiger is definitely Kamen Rider meets Metal Heroes meets Super Sentai show.
You got one human and four robots that doesn't have human forms. I wonder if Shirakura wanting Zenkaiger to be more of a Kamen Rider show and Metal Heroes show than Super Sentai show? * Zenkaiser- Kamen Rider * ZenkaiJuran, ZenkaiGaon, ZenkaiMagine and ZenkaiVroon- Metal Heroes |

The half-and-half gimmick also brings to mind RyuSoulger's CosmoRaptor in addition to Kamen Rider W. I don't hate the idea, but it does leave one wondering which combination is the "Main Combination Mecha". Say we have another 199 Special again and the Main Mecha of every series pops back in again...which combination here would take the cake? I've also been thinking of something of late: The Mecha designs of the four Kikanoids are based on a pattern we've seen before! In Go-Busters VS. Gokaiger, there was a Gokai Change using "Megazord Keys": Daizyujin GaoKing-GaoKentaurus GekiTouja-FlashKing-Ryuuseioh DaiBouken MagiKing Apparently, these have been fan-favorite designs for years. P.S.: The little Gears are denoted using the visage of a Sentai Red next to its series number. Will LupinRed and Patren #1 carry the distinctive "they're two different teams" designation we've been told to accept? |
I can't believe I didn't notice this before.
https://twitter.com/AhoyImHarker/sta...28587518251009 Each of the Robot's "civilian" form is based on a civilian counter part. The half and half combining is clearly a nod to Kikaider too. |
Honestly, I REALLY love those unmorphed robot suits, they're hitting my love of Transformers and nostalgia for Bionicle and Megaman in all the right ways. I would seriously watch a show just set in a world of robots where all/most of the characters looked like that (maybe slimmed down just slightly more and mixed with normal human clothes, just to avoid blowing the costume budget), even if there weren't any other toku elements.
Next to that, all the rest of this just isn't grabbing me. I'm curious to see how the combinations work in toy form, but that's about it. |
So i guess only the main 5 will get special gear medal coin the rest are general cell medal like teams. Lupin gets 42. Some people thinks all 5 will have base forms and will transform in to zord forms. However, it's weird during press shot pink is the only one getting the base slim form.

However assuming its also Kaiser's transformation device... Pehaps he pops it open and slots his transformation gears in between the black and red sections. and uses the silver section purely for attacks/summoning his possible mecha down the road etc... Also its definitely a shame that Gaon's mecha animal form is kinda not very lion like... ZyuranTyrano actually makes me think of that PR movie from a few years back oddly enough. |
This leak also mention about Zenkaiser living with his grandmother who owns sweets shop/cafe called “Colorful”.
Hmmm.... Zenkaiser: Hey grandma! look what I got! 4 robot friends! Zenkaiser's grandma: Robots?! (Faints) Just imagine her reaction of her grandson making friends with robots! :lolol |
Man, I wish so much didn't get leaked. This is way too much.

But honestly, the Sentai threads get a little barren around these parts, so if PR talk keeps the Sentai threads at the top of the stack, I guess I won’t complain. Quote:
That said, I guess this isn’t much more than what they’ll reveal in the official announcement on Christmas or at the Press Conference in January. Still... having this info spread out over a couple months keeps the excitement levels high. |
Honestly design wise I could see hasbro taking a stab at it depending on how the villains and such look. Hasbro wasn't afraid to shoot original footage, I could see them just digitally editing the gears to remove say the numbers. Reshoot scenes where needed so we dont see some close up of a MMPR gear with 16 on it. Or a gear without a team we've seen before (unless hasbro wants to give us brief snippets about them)
I feel they could think something up but we still need to know what the villains look like. What if they pull some sort of - VR troopers like virtual world where we have civilian scenes in the human world but the rangers become 'robots's when they enter the virutal world. |
Sigh...and here I thought I would be able to hold myself back from buying the toys for this season...it's not looking good so far :lol
Really excited for the show. I love how different it seems! |

...That being said, everything I just saw here is so cool and has me crazy excited for this show now! I'm glad the robot members of the team are still going to be transforming, especially. (I do kinda agree with Kiwami that the gun looks weird, but please refer to the previous paragraph to understand why I'm not worried about that.) |
I really like how the mechs are looking so far. Huge improvement from kiramager in terms of play value and complexity. Going to reserve any thoughts on the show until it airs. Don't see why people are so quick to dismiss it. I get that it's looking to be a pretty significant departure from the usual sentai formula but I can appreciate that they're trying out new things.

Does anyone realizes that ZenkaiVroom is Pansexual?
According to the his profile, he has a habit of falling in love with people no matter their race. A LGBT character? Hmmm... |
Uh, not to be a downer, but race and gender kinda aren't the same thing.
|
this is literally deadass Zyuohger but with robots instead of furries
