Power Rangers Super Megaforce Legendary Megazord Gallery!
40 Attachment(s)
The toyline for Power Rangers Super Megaforce is just starting to trickle out to retail at Toys R Us, and luckily we've found a Deluxe Legendary Megazord to share! This complete gallery will show off the entire Legendary Megazord set and compare it to the DX Gokai Oh from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger it's based on!
Though the Bandai of America release has opted to remove a few features, there are just as many added. Gone are the opening compartments which allow additional zords/vehicles to combine with the Megazord. Instead are strategically placed Zord Builder Pegs which open up a ton of possible combinations. In total, including the standard arm and leg pegs the Legendary Megazord has 16! And of course being a BOA Megazord which features these universal Pegs you can mix and match to your hearts content! Seen here we've swapped the zords around with the Legacy Megazord for a couple fun combos. Rather than removing the dial gimmick on the Megazords' back it's been adapted to take US Ranger Keys. When turned to the right the keys "drop the plank" on the Megazords chest, opening it. The "plank" is also capable of sliding into the lower abdomen rather than sticking out as it did on the Gokai Oh. The Yellow zord has also been modified to have a connected cab where the BOJ version did not. The flip side of this is that it loses the side to side turning that the BOJ version featured. And Aside from the loss of compartments the other vehicles retain the majority of their functionality at an affordably smaller size! The set also includes a translucent red Super Megaforce Red Ranger Key to activate the dial gimmick, seen here compared to a BOJ Aka Red key. Be sure to visit your local TRU's in the coming weeks to find this Megazord and the rest of the first wave of Super Megaforce products. TRU's are beginning to receive the pallets containing these figures, but not all of them will show up in their system properly. It's best to use the pallet item code #043789 and have an employee check . Want TokuNation.com updates on the go? "Like" us on Facebook and follow us @tokunation on Twitter!! |

Holy crap the us keys are alot smaller than i expected.
|
Looks like a decent alternative. It's no Gokai-Oh, but it's not Drive Max either. :lol
|
I find it funny how the only girls on the back of the box are Tori and Lauren. Though Tori has a reason to be shown. And the Legendary Megazord looks pretty Legendary with the MMPR zords attached.
|
That looks pretty good I think. I tend not to pick DXs up but I might have to make an exception for this just because I want a Zeo Legendard Megazord in my life.
|
The Zeo combination is sort of cool and inspired, but dear god that Shinken Gokaioh is so terrible. As long as you don't use his gimmick he looks like a reasonable cheap Gokaioh, but the sealed doors on a mecha that's entire point is that it opens is absolutely awful imo and the combinations with the pieces just stuck on top of the sealed doors just sucks.
Seems like Gosei Great Megazord and its additional pieces was one step forward from Samurai Megazord and its additional pieces and this guy is one step back again. |
Why are there samurai marks on the red wild force lion zord?

so the the only way to get all the keys is to get all the toys including those crap bikes right?
|
I'd rather buy crap bikes then have to spend inflated prices online or buy incredibly expensive sets.
|
Wow Den-O, your pictures sure beat the ones we had before. These look much better!
|
Wonderful.. Now I need to find Legend Mega and Wild Force/Samurai Lion :lol
|
That Gokai Galleon/Skyship looks great, I may get it just to display it in ship mode for the rest of my Gokaigers
|
The whole "only way to collect the keys is to get everything" might not be true this time. If it was, I'd imagine they'd even stick keys on the battle morphin figures, which they didn't. Time will tell though.
|
Seems the only individual zord to suffer hugely was the sub, since it loses it's... sub hat? In place of a zord peg.
Other than that it looks great. Well, great as that design can be with it's brick jet, racecar with giant visible fist and the oddly leg-shaped sub and truck. |
I'm actually impressed by how much Bandai was able to match the original knowing they had to shrink it and change the gimmick some.I'm def gonna be getting this one.(Only thing I see wrong with it that I don't like is placing the pieces of the SPD and Zeo combinations over the legs.I'd rather just leave them off or put them on the shoulders)
The keys I like.I'm hoping they do some kind of blind pack deal like they do with lego minifigs. If they do,that would be addicting as hell.lol.I also like how the inside sticker is different. It's got a more tech feel to it being a chip rather then just the logo. |

WOw, it looks so... bland.
It's like they forgot to paint the thing. |

It looks like a cheap knock off you would find in one of those chinese mall stores |

A few? It doesn't look show accurate. That is what I care about more than anything else.

Speaking strictly as a collector I recommend Gokai Oh over the Legendary Megazord. Its more complex and show accurate. However, keeping in mind the audience and market BOA releases are geared towards the Legendary is great for kids or people who dont necessarily need show accuracy first. Its an affordable alternative and of course with lowered price some functionality is lost. But at the end of the day these 2 figures are designed for entirely different audiences.

Awesome gallery Den-O! Just makes me wish my TRU would get these dang things in >_< |
How does the key feel in hand?
|
Man it's like BOA is trying to completely alienate there already miniscule female audience, I mean I'm not usually one for feminism but there's only 1 female on the entire box, I find that a little sexist, even more so than power rangers merchandise usually is.
As for the zord, it looks ok, I'd prefer to see a review first, but i'll most likely cave and get it. as for the secondary zords, definitely going to wait until i see full size images of them, but i think i might want the gaolion and magi dragon, maybe. I hope some future releases in the line are better looking. |

If you don't like it, don't buy it. But there's no reason to complain about it because as many of us have said, this was made for a completely different market. So shut up with your bitching about how it's inferior. |
This Megazord looks good. I really like of how this key is different than the key included with the morpher. Sadly I didn't get any Megaforce stuff but I just might get the SM line.

Aside from the missing paint apps, this guy looks good. Im surprised at the level of detail the Sky ship has. They couldve just left it blank but they decided to put the details on him. Megazord mode looks good too. For the missing paint apps, nothing like a little paint cant fix. Im still to meh over the compartments not opening, but, oh well. I dont want to pay $80 for a japanese version.

Am I the only one who kind of likes te gold wings on Blue? It doesnt look bad and gives it a different color
