Zero-One subbed on TokuSHOUTsu!!!
|
Another Rider show for Tokushoutsu, FINALLY!! I guess it's pretty fitting for it to be the third after 1971 and Kuuga, huh?
|
Ryuki as well!!!
|
Ooookay this just keeps going holy heck!! Really cool to see this one, too!
|
Physical copy of Zero-One coming out on DVD or BLu-ray as well!!!
|
Ryuki will be released first followed by 01.
|
Oh now this is the good stuff.
|
To clarify more:-
- Ryuki already has subs so will be coming fairly soon. It won't be as soon as next month, but shouldn't be too long after that -- it's a matter of working with files and legalities at this stage - Zero-One... does not actually have subs yet, this is mostly just letting us know they have the go-ahead to do it. So it will be quite a bit before we get it. Didn't say anything about how long physicals would be, if they'd be at the same time as streaming or anything; but they are coming |
Oh I think this just confirmed that all three movies this week are limited in terms of how much time they're up there for. Cause I heard 24 hours from when they air.
Which is a damn shame. |
And... that's it. Sadly no announcements about releasing stuff outside the UK. Maybe if the box set is on Amazon they'll have stopped screwing Northern Ireland by the time it's out.

Like, why? That's all I want to know. |
Still, that really dumb sticking point aside; this was an otherwise awesome set of announcements and I'm VERY happy to see them take these strides forward! If we ever get a UK release, I'm buying that Zero-One boxset; mixed feelings on the show be damned
|
Oh yeah no definitely. This is absolutely a big win for the Rider fans. We've got a second Heisei Show coming via Ryuki and Zero-One looming over with streaming and physical?
Really happy all around in regards to all the announcements that have occurred in the past 24 hours. |
Wow, Ryuki and Zero-One legally streaming with subs? Or soon to be? That's amazing.
I hope Zero-One is a sign of things to come with Saber and, potentially, the next Reiwa Rider. And after Ryuki, I guess Faiz is the next step. Quote:

Shout needs to stay with dvds. They need to put Dragon Knight out on dvd.
|
Here's to hoping the Zero-One subs also include the HBV at the very least. Regardless, very happy we're getting physical releases now, and will definitely be pre-ordering that set whenever I get the chance.

Dang, this has been a really good past couple dozen hours for Rider-related announcements.

As much as I think that Dragon Knight needs a re-release, I fear there are rights issues with who did that adaptation which inhibit distribution. That being said, since Ryuki is destined to go up in favorability and attention with this news, there is the extremely mild possibility that perhaps something might happen in the future, but not the immediate future. |

DVD's are a nice alternative, but for a series like Zero-One that's real recent, it shouldn't be the only choice. Especially since Blu-Ray's are absolutely viable for that kind of quality. Not to mention I feel like transitioning to Blu-Ray's isn't as expensive today as it was back in the day. Especially since a lot of game consoles nowadays have the player built in. |

Yeah great news...for anyone living in America, but the rest of the world gets screwed over.
|
Aren't most blu-ray players region free anyway?
|
Yeah uh... you do understand that ShoutFactory is an American company working with a Japanese company to get distribution rights in the country they operate in. They have no power to get the distribution to other countries.
No one is getting screwed over here. That's like saying America is getting screwed over because the Canadian Broadcasting Company is not bringing over my favorite Drama series from Thailand... |
I mean, I totally get it. Importing physical copies definitely has to cost a pretty penny.
Not to mention the exclusive US streaming sites and so forth. Especially when it comes to sub groups taking down their stuff in respect. It means people in other countries end up having a harder time trying to grab stuff as easily as before. |

Awesome news. I wanted the Showa stuff first, but this is still awesome nevertheless.

So yeah, us non american people are getting screwed over as always, and there are no plans to bring Kamen Rider to a european audience...at least in french speaking countries ( France, Switzerland, Belgium)
Germany would be a big nono, same for Italy and Spain... |

Arrow Video is a company in the UK that has released Toku and other Japanese cinema. If people in the Region 2 market want Kamen Rider stuff, they can always ask them about it. I would want Arrow to release Shin-J on Blu-Ray because they can release it in both Region 1 and Region 2. Not to mention, they have good connections with Toei.
