Kamen Rider Saber toy thread
Discuss all the toys for Kamen Rider Saber here!
|
Okay, as much as I think the belt looks really aesthetically unpleasing, I love how you can have 3 books form a complete image of the Rider.
|
@Tokullector on Twitter posted the first pic I’ve seen of the RKF Saber figure:
https://twitter.com/tokullector/stat...277787648?s=21 Also they’ve got a preorder for a book set that I almost got excited about before realizing it was the candy toy ones and not the DX ones. |
(Double post, sorry)

Also, hey, I didn't know you were here, Actar. |
That RKF looks surprisingly good! The sword is painted and he has a book-holding hand. That's a lot more than I'd expect from the RKF!
|
I love everything about the SworDriver. But the jingles are long! Not that I think its a bad thing but I hope they don't play the full thing when transforming. I feel like its gonna detract from fights scenes a bit if they play the full thing.

The SworDriver looks nice, but I've always avoided Kamen Rider DX sword weapons because of how diminutive they look, and the Sword of the SworDriver is no exception!
I wonder if the sword is supposed to diagetically grow in the show? Or is it gonna entirely rely on prop magic? |
I'm curious how this'll size up actually, it looks to be on the big side what with accommodating the sword.
I've heard some talk of the SG WonRideBooks having no electronics in them. Anyone know where this rumour came from & whether it's likely to be true or not? It seems odd to me, as I'm almost certain the majority of the transformation sounds come from the Books, unless there's genuinely an RFID scanner in the sword that's going through a good few layers of plastic! Now if the meaning was that SG Books would have sounds but no lights, that I could understand, but from the advert it doesn't even seem like the DX books have LEDS. I also wouldn't be too shocked if, again like lockseeds, the non-DX books weren't spring loaded. Also, this gives us our first look at the Holder for the WRBooks! Looks like they sit at an angle for easy drawing, which is really nice - and looks like there's one on each side of the belt again. It also confirms that the Stories slot (left, or right as you look at it) just shows the Rider's left arm and hand as the book's panels. Curious how this'll work for Espada, as both Saber and Blades have at least got their faces on there, just an arm would be a little awkward :') |

when he first transforms and pulls the sword out from the driver it looks like it he magically is holding a full-sized sword. Also from the trailer, looks like Saber and Blaze both get their own bikes. |
The SG Wonder Rider Books indeed have no electronics but they do have a spring

This year, the belt voice is Solid Snake.

Thinking about it more, you might be right! It looks like there's a scanner on the tip of the blade that you scan the crossguard on before switching users, so I guess the same could be used to scan the books. Seems like an odd choice personally but I guess it's been a while since they've used that approach, so why not!
|
I really like the RKF, looks like they are stepping up their game with painted weapons. I'd really like to see that trend continue.
|
I'm a little worried about how this design will translate to Figuarts. The only way I can see the robe bottom working is to design it like Shinkocchou Seihou Wizard (or maybe Beast, given the texture.) If this is a solid plastic piece, even on a ball joint, it's going to severely limit posing options, and if it's multiple stiff plastic pieces, it'll look wrong frequently.
I hope the WRideBooks faces aren't completely unpainted / absent printing. The widget details on the Zero-One toys have given me reason to hope that Bandai learned their lesson with the Zi-O Figuarts. I also hope they'll replicate the relatively subtle right hand paint, since the RKF clearly didn't. Still, it might make swapping the sword in and out without scraping paint off a challenge. It's a great detail on the actual suit, but even fiddlier than Faiz's fingertips. |

They could I guess cheat a little and like on the hidden story of Hiden book how we see Izu, they could slap his face there as some sort of odd reflection or something. My initial thought was IF 3rd rider uses the same his book would liekly need to be special. Like slot in one way for Espada, slot in backwards for others allowing 2 different orientations. But of course that isn't exactly practical. Another idea just make it one not compatible with the others within the series. This kinda goes against the mix and match roleplay concepts. Or give him some sort of special adapter like how Cross-Z uses the build dragon with his dragon bottle to transform, in theory Espada could use some sort of filler sadly this would likely lock him into a single form short of upgrading to a newer driver, but it could allow the book to remain Just an arm. Of course now that we know he sword determines the base form. its less of an issue. And we can look at the completed image more as just a nice bonus. Where as originally i looked at it similar to Gaim's Ride indicators. Heck they even add an extra level of questions when you factor in how they previewed the 3 book bit. Will we see Dragon+Lion+Beanstalk? Would that still be a Saber form despite having Blades' face on the book image. |

Weird flex but ok

Seiken Swordriver, some kther DX stuff and the RKFs are up for preorder on HLJ

Do we know what the day the Swordriver is releases on? Got 5 days till some stuff in my HLJ private warehouse needs to ship, and I'm curious if the driver will come in stock before then

Ugh, so it'll be just a day too late. I'll try sending HLJ an email asking if there's any way to get a one day extension. Thanks for the answer though!

This actually looks a very good size for a DX sword! Not as big as the actual thing obviously, but it looks the part!

Hey how can you tell which slot a particular wonder ridebook is suppose to go in to?
|
On the book cover, at the bottom there are three boxes. The one corresponding to the slot has an arrow.
|
|
I really like the looks of that sword but I'm still not sold on the ridebook features. The use of the second book to activate attacks looks a little awkward especially.

Blades' Tricycle. I forgot the name. ...The SHF's not gonna fit on it, huh? Oh well, I'll buy it anyway, for my Figma to use with. |
Ah, figma are a lot bigger than RKFs...

So what's this huge Wonder Ride Box thing? The listing I found this image from said it was from amazon, but has anyone seen this before/know what it is? |

And to avoid a double post, I’ll share the latest blog post concerning the RKF line, showing off more of Daigo Speedy and giving us our first glimpse at the Buster figure (which will come with the parts needed for a form that uses Jackun-to-Mamanoki]. |
